A Ghostly Betrayal

by Lynn Ellen

About this book

In the 1940s, young lovers Katherine and James promise their unending devotion to one another on their last night together before he ships off to war, oblivious to the heartbreak that awaits. Fifty years later, Katherine and James are all but forgotten when newlyweds Becky and Matt buy a rundown house, despite Matt's reservations. Soon after moving in, strange occurrences escalate, and they find themselves drawn into a ghostly web of deceit and betrayal. The paranormal chaos not only jeopardizes their own marriage, but hints at supernatural forces far greater than they can fathom.

A Ghostly Betrayal is the first book I've read by author Lynn Ellen (but it definitely won’t be my last). This book takes place in two timelines, really. The book opens in the 1940’s, as teenage beauty Katherine prepares to send her beloved James off to war. The two are deeply in love and quite inseparable, much to the disdain of Katherine’s mother. Genre: Paranormal Romance Pages: 253 Publisher: Goose Lake Press 5 - yes I said 5! - stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Do you need a good emotional cry for some fictional characters to escape real life? Not even going to lie, this isn't my typical genre to enjoy, but boy am I glad I took the risk. It's so hard to describe this book without spoiling it so I will try my best. James and...

I laughed and I cried. We have James and Katherine young lovers in the 1940’s and in the last night together before James sets off to war he proposed to Katherine. Katherine’s Uncle Eddie took pictures and promised to put them in frames for her. These young lovers wrote each other until 1 letter arrives to each saying they have found a new love. James broken hearted dies while on duty. Katherine dies during childbirth. Fast...
