Special Agent Patrick Collins has spent three years cleaning up the supernatural messes that others dare not touch. But when the gods arrive to collect on an ancient soul debt, Patrick is forced into a high-stakes investigation involving ritual killings and a missing immortal. Haunted by nightmares of the Dominion Sect, he realizes he cannot fight this war alone. He needs a partner, but in his line of work, trust is a luxury he can rarely afford.
Enter Jonothon de Vere, a dangerous and captivating wolf-shifter who is as lethal as he is magnetic. As the Fates weave their paths together, Patrick finds himself fighting a growing attraction that threatens his professional focus. In the shadowy, urban fantasy landscape of New York City, where magic is as real as the blood spilled on its streets, desire is a liability. Patrick knows that falling for Jonothon is a recipe for disaster, yet the pull between them is impossible to ignore.
This gripping series opener masterfully blends intense mystery with a simmering, slow-burn romance. For readers who crave high-stakes paranormal action paired with complex M/M relationships, this story offers an unforgettable journey into a world where debts are paid in gold and souls.

So I started reading M/M Paranormal Romance this past May. In addition to fulfilling a prophecy by my Readers’ Advisory professor made when I was in Library School, one of my aims was to start on a writing project that would hopefully be a way for me to break my location-instilled writer’s block. Six months later, I’ve got a rough outline, 4 pages written, a few websites for research, tons more M/M Paranormal Romance reading under my belt, and a fervent hope that what I produce can be as good...

Big mystery, paranormal, science fiction, and fantasy reader of 30+ years here, and I rarely leave reviews for books, but after reading the second book in this series, all I could think about as I started book 3, was how much I wanted to review this series (or, at least, the first three books of it that are currently available). Aside from the author's skill as a writer--word choice, sentence structure, anticipation of reader's experience, etc--which I found myself appreciating with each book,...

A Ferry of Bones & Gold is the first book in the Soulbound series and introduces us to a mirror world of contemporary Earth where magic and myths are real. Special Agent Patrick Colins of the Supernatural Operations Agency (SOA) is no stranger to violence and danger. He’s a former mage soldier and now works as an investigating agent for SOA in their Rapid Response division. Patrick is the person other professionals call in with they find themselves out of their depth, but even Patrick has his...

I don't usually write a review before I finish the book but... BUT. There is just too much done so well here that is different, refreshing and absolutely stands out. In the past few years I have began to cringe when I see a LGBTQ main character. They are usually either depicted as uneasy with their sexuality or celibate to 'spare' the mainstream cis audience. If there ARE gay sex scenes between men, they are lackluster and one is most definitely the 'girl'. NOT SO HERE! Patrick is a very...

Wow! I am so glad I finally made myself sit down and read this. \"A Ferry of Bones and Gold\" is a kickass urban fantasy book centered around Patrick Collins - former combat mage with a damaged soul and a debt to the immortal gods - and Jono - hot British werewolf alpha without a pack - who've been thrown together by the Fates. Someone is killing people in New York City. Soon it becomes clear that this mess is tied to Patrick's past and if he can't find a way to stop it he'll lose everything....
