I really liked this book. I mostly don't have high expectations when I read shifter romances (although I enjoy them) but this was pretty good. Maybe a bit heavy on the alpha stuff every now and then but that's not surprising considering the title. And it was heavier on the plot and lighter on the sex which is always a big plus. I recently finished this book on Kindle Unlimited, and overall, I thought it was a pretty good read. There were parts of the story that I really enjoyed, especially the moments that leaned into the paranormal romance and alpha dynamic. I liked the grumpy alpha energy, and the book had enough tension and chemistry to keep me interested. That being said, there were a few parts that felt a little boring or slower than I wanted. I really enjoyed this book. This is a new author for me and I was impressed with the balance of drama mystery, anticipation steamy scenes and intimate, gentle moments. I’ll definitely look at this author again. )

The book was ok, I don’t think I’ll finish the series. I didn’t love the mmc. I feel like the FMC just kept getting rescued by him and never really fought or grew, even at the end when she discovers this massive power it’s just glossed over and she only uses it once to help the mmc. She had such potential to grow into this really powerful character but didn’t.
