Court of Dragons and Crowns: The Dragon Crown Series, Book 1

by G. Bailey

About this book

Elle’s life changes in a heartbeat when four lethal, gorgeous dragon shifters storm her home, execute her ex, and drag her into a realm of ancient magic. As a human bride snatched from Earth, she is thrust into a brutal, high-stakes competition to become queen before the dragon kings lose their power forever. But these powerful rulers are arrogant, cruel, and entirely too possessive for her taste.

This gripping paranormal romance serves up the ultimate enemies-to-lovers dynamic, blending high-fantasy stakes with intense, spicy tension. As Elle navigates a treacherous court filled with sharp teeth and glittering deception, she realizes she isn't just fighting for a crown—she is fighting for her survival. She refuses to be a pawn in their game, choosing instead to sharpen her claws and become the nightmare they never saw coming.

If you crave a why-choose fantasy filled with alpha-hero intensity and a fierce, resilient heroine who refuses to back down, this is your next obsession. It is a wild, adrenaline-fueled ride into a world where second chances are rare and the competition is deadly. Prepare to be swept away by this addictive start to a series that proves even the most powerful kings can be brought to their knees.

Great start to a series

May 22, 2026

This book is fun in that you don't really know what's going on to much as the main character is pretty clueless - not that it is her fault. She's a great fmc - feisty, brave but not stupid. But things are slowly starting to reveal and I think this is going to be a great series. Not too much romance in this one and to be honest I have no idea who will really be with our fmc at this point because it's all been about the action. It's actually refreshing - story first! )

Catchy, Predictable, but overall worth the read.

There were several errors, from spelling and grammatical errors to things like details of the world and people in them. Not enough of an error to alter the book or the story. But enough to be a little irritating. The MFC is confusing, she seems frail one second and she can't make up her mind, then she's courageous the next and strong... the men are even more confusing. Hot, but confusing. The tension is there. I wish there was more world building, but im hoping there will be more of that in the...

Absolutely Loved It

August 5, 2023

I absolutely loved this book. It started off kind of slow but boy did it get good. After being kidnapped and taken to another world, Elle has to compete in trials to become a dragon queen. The kicker is she doesn't want to be a queen she wants to go home. This book will suck you in and not let you go and then land you with a killer cliffhanger that will have you wanting to throw things. I am totally in a hurry for the next book because I have to know what happens to Elle and the dragon kings....

Good but predictable

June 30, 2025

It was good but so predictable. I also didn’t like how she was presented as a mortal when clearly she is not. I hate she didn’t receive her powers at all. I also hate that the four guys are at odds with each other and can’t seem to understand what has happened. I’ll read book two just because of the cliffhanger with the hopes she realizes who she is and what she can do. ) One person found this helpful

riveting story

The author of this book keeps you hanging on the end of your seat. The characters are well developed, and they keep you wanting more information about their lives. I can’t wait to see the next installment of the series. )
