Dark Celebration: A Carpathian Reunion (The Dark Book 17)

by Christine Feehan

About this book

Christmas in the Carpathian Mountains is rarely a quiet affair, but for the immortal protectors of their species, this holiday season marks a desperate stand against annihilation. Mikhail Dubrinsky, the Carpathian Prince, faces his most harrowing challenge yet: a coordinated plot by ancient enemies to eradicate their females. As the shadows lengthen, he calls upon his kin to gather, unite their powers, and fortify their defenses against the encroaching darkness.

While the stakes are undeniably high, this installment serves as a breathtaking urban fantasy reunion. Readers will find themselves swept away by a rare, lighthearted shift in tone, balancing intense, high-stakes battles with the warmth of a community clinging to hope. It is a masterful tapestry of character arcs that weaves together the complex lives of your favorite couples, offering fans a deeper look into the royalty and shifting dynamics that define this long-running series.

For those seeking a paranormal romance that delivers both sweeping scope and intimate moments, this narrative offers a unique blend of collective strength and individual passion. It is a rollercoaster of a ride that proves even in the face of extinction, the bonds of love and loyalty are the most powerful weapons of all.

Lighthearted Exceptional Read

June 8, 2021

Dark Celebration was a great read. I thoroughly enjoyed the lighthearted dialog throughout a majority of this book. Yes there are still battles and puzzles to be worked out but this was a great read. Unlike most I can look past the kindle typos and enjoy the story. The Santa Clause discussion scenes throughout this book had me laughing so hard I was crying. While this book is mostly light hearted you do get a little more insight to Skylar and some of her scenes gave me the chills and put tears...

As usual there is very little to dislike about this book. I just feel of become totally emerged while reading. However, I must admit that I enjoy losing myself in Feehan's novels. Often wondering what it would feel like if a man was totally emersed in me. )

Fun for the initiated--puzzling for the newby!

What a neat holiday gift for all us Feehan fans! The author brings in all the old friends and couples, sets up some new story lines, and makes at least ONE of my own predictions come true when she lifemates the wolfman and the Parisian orphan girl. If you haven't read any of the Carpathian books, don't start with this one. The pleasure is in the backstories and the bringing-up-to-date, and if you don't already know these people, nothing will make sense. There are some really funny scenes, and...

Excellent Gathering!

This book was fantastic with all of the characters from the previous books all in 1 book. There were a lot of sex scenes between the different couples & there were a lot of good vs bad fight scenes. There was a Christmas pageant with the kids of all ages participating in it & Santa even visited. Santa even had presents for the children. At least 2 unmated males found their mates; but 1 has to wait for his mate to grow up a little more. The other I don’t know what he’s waiting for. But, he did...
