I start this series a year ago today and have been binge reading it. I'm now on book 54. I did a few ARC readings over the last couple of months but none of them compare to the world and people that I. T. Lucas takes you into in this series. The author is a good writer and the story has potential, but there’s just so little of it. It’s a string of sordid sex scenes with a sprinkle of a great plot. The first couple sex scenes were fine and definitely erotic, but by the sixth time reading about Syssi’s soaked panties I nearly quit. If you’re looking for a romance novel with an edge this is perfect, but if you’re looking for a well paced plot you might get frustrated. this has so many twist and turns. the characters are well thought out with each having their very different personalities. the writer is so good with this part you will love some be frustrated with others and dislike others. this series will not bore you. each book has been so hard for me to put down and to go to bed at night. i have found myself realizing it is 3 am and having to force myself to put it away more than once. Really enjoyed this first book in the Dark Stranger trilogy. The build up to the meeting of Kian and Syssi was slow suspense but then things heated quickly yet with frustrating doubts between the two.
