by Kim Harrison
Rachel Morgan is back, and the stakes in the Hollows have never been higher. As a witch-turned-daywalking-demon, Rachel is used to navigating the dangerous intersection of magic and mayhem in an alternate Cincinnati. However, her latest misstep has triggered a catastrophic chain of events, threatening to tear apart the fabric of the demonic realm known as the Ever After. If she cannot contain the chaos, the resulting apocalypse will consume both the supernatural and human worlds alike.
This high-octane installment perfectly blends the gritty intensity of urban fantasy with the magnetic pull of paranormal romance. Readers will find themselves caught in a web of shifting loyalties and forbidden desires as Rachel relies on her unique gifts—and the help of those she trusts most—to avert total annihilation. The chemistry is palpable, the tension is relentless, and the character growth feels both earned and deeply satisfying.
If you are craving a series where vampires, witches, and shifters collide in a pulse-pounding narrative, this is your next obsession. Kim Harrison masterfully balances epic world-building with intimate, sexy subplots that keep the pages turning. Dive into this wild, spine-tingling journey where the line between savior and destroyer is thinner than ever.

What can I say? Ever After is a stellar addition to the Hollows series. Harrison manages to give her characters depth and let them grow without it feeling sudden or jarring in the narrative. Nick returns, as well as Ku'Sox and everyone's favorite demon Al. Newt somehow becomes more likable even if she's still nuttier than a squirrel, and Ellasbeth shows up to be a bitch but you get the feeling she just can't help herself. We also get some new insight into the demon/elf war that destroyed the...

After waiting a year with bated breath, revving myself up with tidbits, hints, early cover releases (and debates because of the \"blonde hair\"), early chapters (of which I only read one to prevent further torture since the release was imminent), and even getting the little collectable coat tag hanger from the author as part of it's promotion, I must say it was worth the wait, every second of it, and is likely the best yet of the bunch. We get a slew of returning and main characters and ample...

I am a huge fan of Harrison. Urban Fantasy has always been touchy, oftentimes leaning towards paranormal romance, so I've always treaded lightly around this genre. Harrison was the first to open my eyes, and still, after eleven books, is my favorite author of the genre. With Ever After we get the same great writing style, the same great characters, yet it has a little bit of a darker cast to it. The story itself seems a bit thrown together and not as well thought out as her other books. This is...

In Rachel Morgan's world, nothing is ever easy. Ever After is book 11 in the series, Rachel and her crew have come so very far, been through so much, and the hits keep coming. Through it all, Rachel is getting stronger, more confident, and I love her more and more. In some longer book series (8+ books), the series start to wane. Not this series. I feel that the most recent books have been awesome, the series just gets better and more exciting. I do recommend reading this series in order,...

*ARC Provided by the author (cuz she's amazeballs!) It's my new favorite! I normally worry about using that term too loosely because it could diminish the potential quality of the series as a whole, but I genuinely think it's the best book thus far. Kim Harrison has done it yet again and all signs point to her doing it two more times, and in epic proportions. This time the Ever After, home of the demons, is shrinking at an alarmingly fast rate, placing the existence of magic in a pretty...
