Exile was never part of the plan, especially not after an accidental magical mishap involving a bowl of soup. Now, a disgraced kitchen witch finds herself in a desperate predicament: to regain control of her volatile powers, she must infiltrate a wolf shifter pack and apprentice under a master cook. There is only one way to gain entry—pretending to be the mate of her best friend, a grumpy sunshine wolf who is as protective as he is frustratingly charming.
What begins as a convenient ruse quickly spirals into a whirlwind of pack dynamics and mounting tension. As they navigate the complexities of sharing a bed and faking undeniable chemistry, they find themselves working together to solve a series of mysterious disappearances plaguing the local town. Beneath the laughter and the kitchen-induced chaos, both hide dangerous secrets that threaten to ruin their fragile arrangement.
This delightful paranormal romance perfectly balances high-stakes mystery with laugh-out-loud humor. If you love the grumpy-sunshine dynamic, cozy found-family vibes, and the delicious burn of friends-to-lovers, this story is your next obsession. It is a heartwarming, flavor-filled journey that proves the most explosive disasters often lead to the most magical connections.

I had the chance to read this as an ARC, and this one really stayed with me. I’d give it 4.5 ⭐. This story blends banishment, fake mating, and a touch of chaos into something surprisingly heartfelt. Fallon, a work-obsessed human with unpredictable food magic, ends up exiled after a magical mishap and agrees to a wild plan to get her life back on track. Enter Declan, a sunshine wolf shifter, a fake mate arrangement, and a close-knit pack that quickly becomes more than she expected. Fallon...

Faking Your Mate and Other Recipes for Disaster was amazing. As someone who married her best friend and has dealt with continuous pain, this book really connected to me. I have loved this whole series and am said this is the last one, but it was an amazing ending to the trilogy too. Fallon (or Honey as Declan calls her) is our FMC. She is overworked (her own doing) and doesn't know how to ask for help. Declan is her best friend (and her fated mate, but she doesn't know that) and he takes her...

Faking Your Mate and Other Recipes for Disaster by Emma Eden is the third and final book in a series of interconnected books that can be read as standalone. I read the first two books in this series and loved them, but I LOOOOOOOVED this one. Declan is the sweetest cinnamon roll wolf shifter you’ll ever meet and Fallon is a too stubborn for her own good strong independent woman trying to navigate her magic and life with a chronic illness. As someone who has a chronic illness, I felt very seen....
