Game of destiny

by Lina Ljunggren

About this book

Amie has spent her entire life feeling like a broken outsider, lacking the wolf that defines her pack. When the Alpha’s son rejects her on her eighteenth birthday, she flees the cruelty of her heritage to build a quiet life among humans. But destiny is not so easily escaped. Years later, she is dragged back into the lethal world of pack dynamics by Alpha Finlay, a man who sees the hidden power she has fought so hard to suppress.

As her long-dormant wolf finally awakens, Amie finds herself caught in a high-stakes game of survival. With the brutal contest for pack ranking approaching, she must navigate a treacherous landscape of dark secrets and shifting loyalties. The chemistry between her and Finlay is an agonizing, slow-burn tension that defies every expectation, forcing her to confront her past and the man who once shattered her world.

This gripping dark romance masterfully blends the fated-mates trope with a compelling second-chance narrative. It is a story of resilience, found family, and the courage to claim one’s own identity. If you are looking for a paranormal romance that balances intense pack politics with a fierce, evolving heroine, prepare to be completely consumed by this addictive journey.

This is a long read, and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Well developed plot and characters, the storyline kept me engaged constantly. Sad to end the book, but I plan to read more from this author. )

I enjoyed this book

Honestly, I got sucked into one of those online ads and it was this story. I got tired of the ads and searched to see if there was an actual hard copy book and was pleasantly surprised. The author did a good job, I’m not one for werewolf stories but this kept my mind on it. I read it within like 4 days. It was a good, fast read. From start to end, I think it was great. )

Engaging story- LOTS of Errors

This is an engaging story with fairly interesting characters. While I would have preferred a bit more detail of the references to steamy scenes (reason for the -1 star) that were only alluded to instead of described, the plot and characters did keep me engaged. I was very distracted by the many errors with inconsistent spellings of character names, grammar errors, and errors with references to characters (e.g. referring to a Beta when the character was actually an Omega). Overall, it was an...

This was a fun and easy read. Cute characters but very long. Wonder if it was 3 books in one. Either way, I enjoyed. )
