With Hearts of Flame (Deluxe Limited Edition): A Dark Academia Romantasy Novel of Vampires and Dragons Featuring Stenciled Edges and Illustrated Endpapers (Bloodwing Academy, 4)
Briar Boleyn
by Jeaniene Frost
Catherine Crawfield is a woman on a mission, fueled by a deep-seated need for vengeance. As a half-vampire, she spends her nights hunting the undead, desperately searching for the man who ruined her mother’s life: her own father. Her solitary crusade takes a sharp turn when she is captured by Bones, a lethal and dangerously charismatic vampire bounty hunter. Instead of killing her, he proposes a partnership that is as volatile as it is necessary.
This high-octane paranormal romance perfectly blends intense action with sizzling chemistry. As Cat trains under Bones to hone her combat skills, the lines between predator and prey begin to blur. Locked in an enemies-to-lovers dynamic, she struggles to reconcile her hatred for vampires with the growing, undeniable attraction she feels for her mentor. Are there truly good vampires, or is she falling for a monster?
Just as their partnership solidifies, they find themselves hunted by a ruthless group of killers. Cat is forced to choose a side, risking everything for a man who is as tempting as he is deadly. Packed with witty banter, sharp-edged tension, and a fast-paced plot, this series starter is an essential, fang-tastic read for any fan of supernatural thrillers.

I think it's safe to say that I've quickly taken a liking to this series! Halfway to the Grave is the first book in the Night Huntress series, and it is wrought with sensational characters and a fast-paced and deliciously addictive plot. The author does such a phenomenal job of weaving together action, paranormal, fantasy, and romance to produce an outstanding story. Cat, the heroine, is a smart-mouthed, sassy, intelligent and deadly chick. I will happily get sucked into her world any day of...

I loved this book! This was a re-read for me but I have to admit that I didn't remember a whole lot of the book. I originally read this series around 5 years ago or so and fell in love with it. I remember reading the books in the series that were available back to back and barely coming up for air. I do recall the basics of the series but the details are gone so I thought it would be a good time to brush off the audiobook I purchased back in 2011 for a listen. I may have even liked it more the...

To avenge her mother's rapist, Cat sets out to con and kill as many vampires as she can. Six years later, Cat is still out hunting...

I really need to build an altar to Jeaniene Frost. How much talent can be coiled inside one single brain? That woman is the living proof that the answers is \"A lot\". First things first, \"Halfway to the grave\". The sweet beginning of a long, very sweet journey. It's not that the book itself is sweet. No no. Hot and dangerous are more fitting terms. So, it is the story of a half-vampire young woman with a serious case of vampire-grugde. Like: \"You a vampire?\" Poor vamp: \"Uhmm, yes\". Cat,...
