I loved both the wolves of the northwest and the spin-off healers series. AJ Manney writes the perfect escapist fiction for my taste. No complex world building or dozens of characters to meet, just the right amount of plot and character building to keep me interested, get me invested and cheer for the characters. This series and the healer series following ( they all tie together) is AMAZING!!! My daughter bought me the paperbacks for Christmas ( yes, I still love my Kindle) as I said I miss real books :-) I picked up the first 4 and read one a day, I could NOT get enough, so I ordered the healers. I Can't wait for September to get the last one. I am sad they are ending as I have loved getting to know these packs!! A.J. I have some ideas to keep them going... )

I really enjoyed the hero in this one. He used sweet words and made his feeling obvious! But he was also so funny. His little side comments were so cute! He would do anything to protect her but also let her make up her own mind, and whether he liked what she decided or not, he stood behind her to support her. She was great to but he was my absolute favorite. His family was great also. I loved his mom, Mary, and her feelings on skinny cooks made me laugh out loud! ) One person found this helpful

This book is so good, I couldn't put it down. The whole series was great. As soon as I finished one I had to buy the next and keep reading. This author is fantastic and you will not be disappointed. I highly recommend reading the series and any series after this one. I read the series before this one, and I will definitely be buying the rest of the books as I am told by my best friend that this series goes on to the healers and their stories.
