Defying the most notorious arcane crime family in the country was never going to be easy, but for Fiona, it was a necessary rebellion. Now, she is at the center of a brewing war that threatens everything she holds dear. With her father’s wrath closing in and a dark secret hanging over her head—the truth about her fiancé’s death—she is forced to go on the run.
This high-stakes paranormal shifter romance masterfully weaves together the intensity of a mob thriller with the magic of a supernatural underworld. As Fiona navigates the treacherous path toward clearing her name, she finds an unexpected anchor in Theo, the Alpha’s second. Their journey is a quintessential enemies-to-lovers slow burn that crackles with tension, proving that even amidst chaos, the bond of fated mates can be the ultimate shield against destruction.
Beyond the danger, the heart of the story lies in the power of found-family. Fiona isn’t just fighting for her survival; she is fighting for the people who refuse to let her face the darkness alone. If you are looking for an action-packed escape filled with heartbreak, steamy chemistry, and a resilient heroine fighting for her truth, this series is the perfect next obsession.

I don’t think it’s any big secret that I’m a huge fan of anything from this author, but I have loved Fiona since she first appeared in The Wrong Witch series. Her goodness is obvious, but she’s got just enough bad in her to let everyone know not to mess with her or her family and friends. Every book and series that Annie writes always has amazing character development. This was no different but it was also really fun to see how Fiona and Theo’s relationship also changed. I gotta say the twist...

After the disaster at the Jacobs family home, Fiona is naturally the main suspect considering the circumstances. Yet with Theo firmly by her side, she is determined to prove her innocence and bring the real culprit to justice. The book is a journey to self-acceptance, embracing one's true nature, and finding a place in a world where a lot seems to be set agains you. Fiona is an amazing woman hindered by her own trauma, past experience, and too self-critical mind. However she has the exquisite...

Theo and Fiona are on the run after her father declares war. Running is the only way she thinks will help protect her family and friends. But try as she might her friends and family won't let her do this alone and hunt her down to help her. Soothe great read. I'm loving all the new characters which i then realized that a lot of those characters have their own series prior to this. So i was definitely out of the loop on some stuff discussed and the relationship she had with them because they...

I absolutely LOVED reading this book. I loved Theo in the wrong witch series and even more so now. Old soul with morally grey vibes and the fact that u see all that bristling manner, he’s a softy for his woman. LOVE. LOVE. )

This is an awesome addition to an amazing series. I was captivated from the first paragraph and couldn't put it down until I finished it. Love Fiona and Theo. Their passion, witty banter and determination kept me intrigued. Highly recommend reading this book. I definitely look forward to reading more from Annie Anderson. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. )
