This sequel completely shattered me. Seeing Ivy go from thinking she finally found her place to being punished for a massacre she didn't commit was devastating. The conflict between her and Kyson in this book is so raw, how do you choose between a mate bond and the memory of a fallen kingdom? The 'sins of the mother' theme added such a dark, compelling layer to the story. I couldn’t stop reading as Ivy was forced to run for her life. A masterpiece of dark fantasy romance! )

The continuing trials and tribulations of Ivy & Abbie & the men in their lives keeps the reader tightly in their clutches. Chapter after chapter notches up the worry, hope, and nail biting conflict. It’s well written with an addictive storyline. Just when you start to feel comfortable, the rug gets yanked from you- making the book nearly impossible to put down. Can’t wait for the next segment of this epic saga. )

But decided to buy the first book because it's better without the censuring it was doing and the book really was good. Then when I realized it was in so many parts that I had to pay for, I went back to reading it free. THEN after about 50 more chapters of this series (read free) I realized it didn't do what most romance novels this split up started doing after the 1st book. It didn't bore me. I was actually still entertained and realized I had read all the 2nd and 3rd book. So I came on Amazon...

I love this series and can't wait for the next couple of books. But there's a bunch of typos and a few punctuation issues. It's just a little distracting. I couldn't decide on a four or five star But ultimately decided on a four-star because of the typos. )
