With Hearts of Flame (Deluxe Limited Edition): A Dark Academia Romantasy Novel of Vampires and Dragons Featuring Stenciled Edges and Illustrated Endpapers (Bloodwing Academy, 4)
Briar Boleyn
by January Rayne
She is a creature born from laboratory nightmares, a lethal experiment that escaped the horrors of Purgatory to walk among the unsuspecting. With the ability to feast upon the raw, pulsing desire of others, she is a predator who has finally found her ultimate prey. When she sets her sights on the delicious, unsuspecting Fitz, she decides that he is no longer just a target—he is her new home.
This intense installment of the Monster Stalker series flips the script on traditional paranormal romance by placing the woman in the role of the dangerous, obsessive stalker. As she weaves herself into the fabric of Fitz’s life, infiltrating his house, his bed, and his very dreams, the line between hunter and hunted blurs. It is a dark, thrilling exploration of possession and primal craving that will satisfy any reader looking for a shifter romance with a sharp, wicked edge.
Utilizing a tense forced-proximity dynamic, the story builds a palpable atmosphere of electric anticipation. As she moves to mark and claim him, she must defend her prize from any who dare interfere. If you crave stories where the heroine is the true monster, look no further than this addictive, high-stakes obsession.

Hollyhocks by January Rayne is, without a doubt, another amazing addition to her series. I couldn’t get enough of this book. The way she effortlessly weaves suspense and emotion makes it feel like you're being pulled into a whirlwind from the very first page. But what truly set this book apart for me was the female protagonist—an unapologetically fierce and unhinged monster DNA stalker. She’s dark, complicated, and absolutely captivating. Her blend of vulnerability and raw power was so unique,...

❤️Thoughts❤️ Let me start by saying that I absolutely love this series, but Holly just wasn’t for me. I was thrilled that Fitz got his own story—he totally deserved it—but something about Holly and her intense monster ways didn’t quite connect with me. That being said, there were definitely moments I enjoyed! The easter egg at the end, especially when Fitz was dealing with his dad, had me fangirling. It felt like January’s way of hinting that this series is only just getting started, and...

If I thought the first two were good, this one was even better. I love how much Fitz wanted a mate and the push and pull of wanting Holly but not knowing why. He so easily accepted her and I'm obsessed with it. Holly is a great FMC and I loved how her though processing worked because it was a mix of Creed's blood thirstiness and Rhett's logic. I can't watch to read the other two books. )

So I love that we get a female monster and all the new creatures she’s mixed with are interesting as always, Rhett being able to find love is everything he deserves it,him and holly are the best match, but I also felt like the story was super quick and feeling incomplete left me wondering what happened when his sister and nephew finally made it how did they meet holly and what happened when the horseman took holly to the facilities, maybe it will be in another book maybe one with Elijah finding...

Calling this sweet feels like an oxymoron but it's true. Fitz is Rhett's best friend and he craves a monster mate after seeing what his friend has. Only once Holly comes around sniffing, he keeps convincing himself it's not possible. Holly is probably the most intentionally mixed blend so far with the obvious intent being to make some kind of sexual slave through the experiments. But it seems like they picked the worst person to do it too. Oh, and she died. But that doesn't seem to be a problem...
