Hunted Beast: The Mate Games: Death, Book 2

by Meg Anne

About this book

Dahlia is a woman living on borrowed time, and the only thing standing between her and a serial killer known as the Ripper is a group of men who are as dangerous as they are devoted. As she struggles to navigate a world of supernatural threats, her own beast remains dangerously dormant. Forced to rely on an unlikely alliance of a fae outcast, a rogue captain, and a reluctant shadow, she finds herself entangled in a web of forbidden desire and lethal stakes.

This intense paranormal shifter romance masterfully weaves together high-stakes action and undeniable tension. The enemies-to-lovers dynamic burns bright as the mysterious, alpha-hero struggles to reconcile his hatred for his circumstances with his growing, desperate need for Dahlia. As his memories slowly resurface and his power surges, it becomes clear that their connection is not just physical—it is elemental. They are two halves of a dark, fated puzzle.

For readers craving a gritty, atmospheric story reminiscent of Supernatural, this installment delivers a perfect blend of mystery and heat. With ghosts whispering warnings and a killer closing in, the path to survival is paved with long-buried secrets. Will they solve the mystery of his past before the darkness claims her?

Excellent series

I have loved all of these books. And this one is no exception. It is great. I'd love the action in the humor it's actually funny. And even though you noticed the end of the world, it still has some comedic. Relief, I do feel bad for Caspian, though. I just think she kind of made captain hook a whip, like he was more or less human.Only except for with his glamour, which is not a very good superpower. And when she's wrapped up into hades, the lord of death, viking berserker and a fade dragon.I...

losing some of the plot

Actually 3.5 stars. Some of the spicy scenes are getting but long winded. I’m invested in this story and find myself skipping like 10 pages every couple of chapters. It makes it feel as if the story is progressing really slowly. I hope the next book has a little more plot development because the premise is really good. )

So good can’t wait for next in the series!

The story and the characters that this duo comes up with just keep getting better in the second installment of the Mate Games: Death. I’m having so much fun coming up with theories of what will happen next. This duo knows how to write a great story that has just the right amount of mystery, emotion, humor and spice. In this book we dive deeper into the past of the characters and learn more of who they are. The cliffhanger ending makes you desperate to see what will happen next in book three....

I dnf at 86%...I felt like there were too many different storylines going on and I was impatient and frustrated with this book. I felt like it was dragging out and I was getting bored. The FMC was funny and sassy, yet it wasn’t enough for 4 books. ) !Image 98: Dragging !Image 99!Image 100: Dragging !Image 101 ![Image 102 Toni](https://www.amazon.com/gp/profile/amzn1.account.AEW6TTM4JS75YIZOUMAQLDAV6KTA) _3 out of 5 stars_ ##### Dragging
