Brilliant & Creatively Written! Just Wow! I am totally blown away. The series is brilliantly written with the world building and the dynasty of connections between the characters. This book has what people wanted in the first book, the action, the nail-biting plot developments, the intense romance (and sex), and a resolution to a couple of the problems/obstacles/conflicts presented that then allows the reader to feel pretty satisfied and ready for the next arc of the story to unfold, rather than cutting it off in a place that makes the reader feel like it wasn't totally complete. My recommendation is that you have to treat book #1 and book #2 like volume 1 and volume 2,...

I bought the whole series in paperback years ago and the series is still one of my Top 3 favorites of all time. If you're looking for a quick sweet & spicy read, you're vastly underestimating the series. It is a beautifully written, fantastic one-of-a-kind saga that just keeps getting better the more you read! This is the second book in the Tairen Soul series, the sequel to \"Lord of the Fading Lands.\" It picks up right where the first book left off, obviously. This is partially, I suspect, because LotFL and LoLaS were originally written as one book but published in separate volumes. After reading the first book, I thought it really stood well on its own without the second half, but after reading \"Lady\" I can definitely attest that it is much, much better when both books are considered together....

First, if you haven't read the first book of the series \"Lord of the Fading Lands \", then stop and read it first. This book will make no sense to you otherwise. The entire world of the Fey, the Tairen, the Celerians, and the rich backstory of the characters are all built in the first book. I thought this 2nd book started off maybe just a little slowly, but when it kicked into gear it really took off and was quite an emotional, exciting, sometimes, terrifying, and sometimes heartbreaking...
