Mated to the Alpha Squad: Reverse Harem Shifter Romance (Pack Up and Love Me)

by Ella Hartwell

About this book

Penny is the best dog groomer in the city, capable of soothing the most aggressive pup with a single look. But when three massive, bedraggled wolves wander into her shop, she makes the mistake of treating them like strays. A little premium shampoo, a blow-dry, and one fateful scratch behind the ear are all it takes to trigger an accidental, soul-deep mating bond. Now, she is officially marked by the city’s most dangerous Alpha pack.

This light-hearted reverse harem shifter romance is a delightful romp through fated-mates tropes and found-family dynamics. Rowan, the brooding Alpha; Knox, the stoic enforcer; and Jax, the chaotic wild card, are undercover agents who should be hunting criminals. Instead, they find themselves hopelessly distracted by the woman who dared to put a jaunty bandana on them. The grumpy-sunshine chemistry is off the charts as these powerful wolf-shifters realize their lives have changed forever.

If you are looking for a quick, low-angst paranormal read that balances sizzling tension with laugh-out-loud humor, this is your next page-turner. It is the perfect palette cleanser for any romance lover who enjoys high-stakes pack dynamics mixed with quirky, heartwarming moments. Grab this story for an afternoon of pure, whimsical fun.

Generally, I found this to be an enjoyable read although it may not be for everyone. The majority of the story was low-angst and light-hearted making it a nice palette cleanser. One of my main issues is that the majority of the book is an ongoing continuity issue, and the inconsistencies could become rather annoying at times. The other is that I would have liked to have felt more connection between the characters. For an MMMF RH; it felt light in both departments but especially the former. I...

I liked this but I feel very short. So everything is quick. Kinda wished it was longer. So there’s more depth to the characters, action, and climax. I hope more diversity and background in other books. But not bad so I’ll check out the next :) ) 3 people found this helpful

I was in a reading slump and picked this up. I am unfamiliar with the author but I like her story telling. The end felt a little rushed but I enjoyed this. I definitely recommend if you're looking for a quick, fun read. )
