Mating Season: Mating Season, Book 3

by Heather K. Carson

About this book

Ranger, the fierce Alpha of the McCaw pack, is a man haunted by a single, catastrophic mistake. When his fated mate, Aspen, is abducted, his world descends into chaos. Driven by raw protective instinct and a thirst for vengeance, he is determined to tear the world apart to bring her home. For Ranger, Aspen is far more than a partner; she is the soul of his pack and his future Luna. But as he hunts his enemies, he must navigate the complex, dangerous politics of wolf-shifter dynamics before time runs out.

Aspen is far from a damsel in distress. Stranded in a hostile, televised competition that feels like a twisted game of survival, she relies on her inner wolf and her own lethal skills to protect the weaker contestants. As the biological pressure of the upcoming mating season begins to take hold, the tension between her survival instincts and her deep yearning for her mate reaches a boiling point.

This gripping conclusion to the trilogy masterfully blends high-stakes action with a satisfying, slow-burn romance. With its unique mix of pack-driven drama and found-family loyalty, this paranormal shifter series offers a wild, steamy ride that fans of the genre will absolutely devour.

Loved the Book, Loved the Series

June 15, 2025

This was a strong ending to a strong series. There was good tension (both romantically and plot-wise), all the right characters grew in all the right ways, and the HEA was very satisfying. The main characters were lovely (and I’m sad to see them “go”), but there are several other characters I hope we get to see more of. When the side characters are as interesting as the MCs is always a good sign to me and this book had it in droves. If you’re just stumbling across this book, go back to the...

BEST BOOK in trilogy

February 28, 2025

You have to read the whole trilogy otherwise it won't make sense (cliffhangers). But they were fast reads. I liked the storyline, the bachelor meets hunger games-esque. It wasn't really predictable, it kept me wanting more, and the spice scenes were PERFECT (could always use more tho 🤣🤣🌶️). Good for a fast read, and to scratch the spice itch. 3rd book has the most, and I was here for it. All-in-all, it was a good story with a HEA. )

Great finale to a fun, sassy trilogy!

First of all Heather, I'm so glad you listened to that one reviewer who suggested you tone down the spice in this book... Not at all lol. The spice was totally worth the wait! I love that these kinky wolf shifters show a great example of being spicy with consent and safewords. Moving on, I loved that there was a plot beyond just \"how much spice can I cram in here.\" I enjoyed seeing how things turned out for everyone! Ranger definitely got more than he bargained for lol and its good for him....

Fun and Entertaining

This was a totally enjoyable story with characters that were exciting, sexy and interesting. This storyline was different than other mating stories I’ve read.there was different personalities then you normally read in mating stories, which was nice to read. Aspen and Ranger characters are strong personalities that draw you in to their stories and how they finally get their H.E.A. Is just about perfect. Heath K. Carson is a wonderful writer with a great imagination and I look forward to reading...

Loved the plot and characters but..

September 23, 2024

Every other book in this series, I have given five stars, but it loses two stars because of two big issues that just really bothered me so spoilers ahead. The first off is Molly who is a character you know is responsible for a lot of bad crap that happens and there is absolutely no justice against her which is just a major oversight for the offer. I get getting money is great, but she was really the center of all of the bad stuff and nothing happened to her even if it was just a one line thing...
