Communication lack again and cause there to be trouble for the characters I also feel that story line was strong but ruby just couldn't let go of her need for control and master loved her spite everything plus Wayne and his group started out just as a business deal with her father but you can see the connections grow also I feel if she just would of been told the truth it could of avoided slot of trouble for everyone )

When you meet Ruby in the previous book you get the sense that she's going to be some badass resistance fighter, but that does not materialize at all. She falls right into the submissive to a pack narrative with just a touch of wanting her own life/independence. The book would have been par for the course in the genre if you hadn't been given the glimpse of a character who could have been so much more in the previous book and that's what makes it disappointing. Wow! Layla Sparks is on fire with this book. It kept me turning the pages, at times I was on the edge of my seat, and at others I was feeling happiness or sadness of the main character. The writing is superb, the characters are fun, interesting and lovable. I’m looking forward to the next book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. )

I don't like to leave spoilers so I try not to. One Alpha took way to long to enter the picture if he really loved her he wouldn't have waited. That said this book took few turns I didn't expect. And her poor mother I absolutely love her. It's a great read and I can't wait to go to the next in this series. ) One person found this helpful
