This book is absolutely delightful. It’s sweet and thoughtful, and packed full of the kind of wit and dry humor that Carriger excels at. But the absolute best thing about this little romance novella is that it gives you everything you want for Biffy and Lyall after the parasol series - a perfect, light touch of angst and misunderstanding, and everything coming out right, and characters getting a little distracted by wayward sexy thoughts, and the ending you’re hoping for. Warning: M/M romance; skip if it's not your thing. This is a very sweet story, both romance wise and with the baby plot. Seeing the werewolves react to babies is priceless. There's a little bit of action, a lot of character development, and some sweet, tender romance. Lovely book. )

I adore Gail Carriger’s work because there’s so much fun & wonder & lightness to counterbalance the inherent darkness associated with Vampires & Werewolves & the Supernatural. This tale is just as delightful, with the additional sweetness of romance between two favorite characters to go along with the wit, adventure, and moments of silly fun. My favorite author and my favorite universe. Count me a fangirl of anything written by Carriger. She is the most intelligent, articulate writer I have ever come across, and I breathe as much as I read.
