The Alpha's Inferno: Shifters of Grey Ridge, Book 2

by Reece Barden

About this book

Marcus Thorne is a grizzly shifter with a reputation as heavy as his paws. As the new sheriff of Grey Ridge, he is determined to outrun his notorious family history and keep his head down. He wants a quiet life, but his bear has other ideas, fixating on the one woman who is strictly off-limits. The local doctor, Leila Jones, is the pack princess, a woman used to being admired from afar but never truly known.

Leila has fought tooth and nail to define herself beyond her father’s shadow. When she discovers that the grumpy, brooding sheriff is her fated mate, she craves the fire and passion he is desperate to suppress. Their clash is pure enemies-to-lovers gold, as Marcus struggles to keep his distance while Leila challenges him to embrace the intensity of their bond.

This steamy paranormal romance masterfully blends high-stakes pack dynamics with the cozy, found-family warmth of a mountain town. When a dark threat from the past resurfaces to terrorize Grey Ridge, the duo must decide if their connection is worth the danger. If you love spicy shifter tales, grumpy-sunshine chemistry, and the irresistible pull of destiny, this is the perfect addition to your reading list.

At some point I got used to it and saw why it must happened that way. Marcus and Leila had me wrapped around her fingers in no time. I enjoyed the suspense sub plot, which again gave the book the perfect pace. The Alpha's Inferno is...

I did like this book.. But the whole staying away for reasons only they understand was kind of played out in the first boom. Leila knew from the start he was her fated mate , she's the Alphas daughter and sister to the soon to be new Alpha of the pack . Marcus knew she was special but not that she was his mate and he wouldn't pursue things with her because she was the Alphas daughter and he was the new sheriff and due to things his dad had done to his mother . He was mean to her and hurt her...
