I loved reading about Charlotte and Wesley, I kept questioning, how could this get better, but Vera knocks these books out of the park every time. Charlotte has suffered greatly, from someone that was supposed to love and protect her as his child, until one day, he doesn't. Charlotte has to run away and start over, becoming a computer genius. With this ability, her path crosses with Wesley, and so the story begins. Vera is known for writing grumpy males who are possessive over their females and...

Reading the development of Wesley and Charlottes was a nice change. This was a slower paced story, nothing exciting doesn’t happen until about a third of the way in. It nice to read of the growth of the characters, and how the backstories of Roman and Josephine play a part in the overall plot. It’s good to have an alpha male in touch with his soft side, but I agree with Odin, he went a little soft.
