Having spent many years in the military I could definitely feel myself there in many points in the story both the hiding, and the wondering what others might think or if they might guess or see too much. The romance was hot and real. I am left wanting to know more about Reynolds, Laird, and the rest of them and what happens to the pack as a whole. I will definitely be waiting for the next volume in this series! )

I can't wait for the next book in the series! \"Above them dusk bruised the sky, violet fading into charcoal as pale stars pushed through the haze. \" The author has an exceptional command of imagery and makes the reader feel as if they are truly in the setting. I immediately liked Mac. He's a dedicated and loyal man with more than one secret that he is concealing from his fellow soldiers and the world. All the characters are intriguing. The budding romance between Mac and Melvin is beautiful....

I typically do not read fantasy, shape shifting books but the cover grabbed my attention and I thought I would give it a try. I'm so glad I did! The descriptive writing style made me feel like I was there watching everything play out in front of me. The storyline grabbed my attention from page one and I found myself invested in the characters. I had a first row seat to the relationship building between Mac and Melvin.
