With Hearts of Flame (Deluxe Limited Edition): A Dark Academia Romantasy Novel of Vampires and Dragons Featuring Stenciled Edges and Illustrated Endpapers (Bloodwing Academy, 4)
Briar Boleyn
by Finley Fenn
Geva Okoro is a proud, impoverished governess whose life is defined by strict boundaries and dead-end employment. That is, until a swaggering, insolent orc crashes into her world with a singular goal: her employer’s hidden gold. What begins as a desperate, forced alliance in theft quickly spirals into a much more dangerous arrangement. To secure a fortune that could change her life forever, Geva must agree to a shocking proposal—she must pose as the mate of the very creature who turned her world upside down.
This gripping paranormal romance masterfully blends high-stakes tension with the irresistible pull of the enemies-to-lovers trope. As Geva is whisked away to the rugged, untamed landscape of Orc Mountain, the lines between performance and reality begin to blur. Sharing a room with a dominant, wicked-hearted orc is a trial of fire, especially when his deep, decadent scent begins to stir feelings she swore she would never harbor.
Finley Fenn delivers an angsty, emotional journey that proves even the coldest, most broken hearts can be mended. For readers seeking a fierce heroine and a brooding hero, this standalone tale offers a perfect mix of heat, heart, and undeniable chemistry. Prepare to be captivated by this unforgettable, slow-burn fantasy romance.

Every book Finley Fenn writes is my new favorite book of hers, and then the next one comes out and it's my new favorite! Geva and Rathgarr are so good together. His personality is dominant and so interesting, we haven't met an Orc like him yet. He quietly watches her and pays attention to what’s important. He sees her. 🥹 I love Gevas personality and willingness to make Rath happy. The subtlety of watching her realize she was falling in love was done so well. Seeing Kesst reunite with his long...

I was excited about this book, especially having a black female lead. I was happy with the way she was portrayed and I loved her relationship with Rathgarr. This story actually had me shedding a few tears especially with the scene in the tunnel. Definitely recommend reading this book. ) 3 people found this helpful

If I wasn't a fan of Finley Fenn already, I definitely would be after reading this book. I love what she did with Geva and Rathgarr and their history. Reviewing her books is a personal challenge because I feel like I gravitate between how well written this one is and all the emotions that come from reading it. The world of Orc Mountain is so diverse and complex, the relationships between clans, their interactions, the particularity of each one always amazes me. Fenn transports us, through her...

I am a fan of Finley’s books and enjoy each story in this series This was a long satisfying story. Geva is working in a job she hates but can’t escape, then when she is placed in the position of having to help the orc that breaks in, her employment and possibly her life are over. Rathgarr as an orc is sneaky and devious, and as this is a HEA romance, totally in love with her (but Geva and the reader doesn’t know this). As such the book is a lot of push pull of the characters who are drawn to...

On their journey they discover more about each and how the world views them both differently with her having dark skin and him being an Orc. Rathgar has a lot of secrets that he keeps from Geva and ultimately causes a lot of tension between them as well as the rest of the Orcs on the mountain. But there is...
