The Longing of Lone Wolves: Season of the Wolf, an Enemies to Lovers Fantasy Romance (Fae Guardians Book 1)

by Lana Pecherczyk

About this book

In a fractured world where humans and Fae are locked in a desperate struggle for survival, the lines between hero and monster are dangerously blurred. Rush is a disgraced wolf-shifter living in exile, a lethal protector suffering from a terminal curse. His solitary existence is shattered when Clarke, a feisty human grifter, arrives on his doorstep with a warning that could save their dying world.

What begins as a volatile clash between enemies quickly spirals into a high-stakes game of survival. Rush, the ultimate grumpy alpha, demands Clarke’s obedience in exchange for his protection, but her vibrant sunshine personality is impossible to ignore. As they navigate a dystopian landscape filled with deadly magic and ancient betrayals, the slow-burn friction between them ignites into an undeniable, scorching passion.

This award-winning paranormal romance masterfully blends dark, gritty world-building with the addictive intensity of a reverse-harem dynamic. Filled with found-family bonds and the raw tension of second-chance love, the story subverts shifter tropes to deliver something entirely fresh. For readers craving a visceral, action-packed escape where the stakes are as high as the heat, this is the perfect start to a gripping series that will leave you breathless.

Blessed mates and Vegas Dystopia

January 26, 2023

I’m a sucker for enemy to lovers, shifters and dystopian worlds and this book totally delivered! Clarke and Rushes love story started off phenomenal. Rush is my favorite character. His back story is heart wrenching but his personality is golden. He’s the alpha fae I never knew I needed. Clarke is a great MFC but I didn’t connect to her as much as I have other MFC’s in the past. However I believe her personality was exactly what Rush needed. The world was hard to understand and visualize at...

criminally underrated fantasy romance series

One of my favorite feelings in the world is that one I get when, after finishing a really good book, I'm left with just this overwhelming feeling of contentedness. Like - I can't help but happy sigh and hug the book responsible for that feeling. That's what The Longing of Long Wolves did to me. Fantasy has been my go-to genre since I was a child, and while I may not gravitate towards the same fantasy books as I used to, this book (and subsequently, this series in general) just reiterates to me...

I bought it for the pretty cover

December 16, 2021

Ok, ok. I bought this pretty much based on the summary and the really pretty cover. As for the story? It was ok but — and I don’t know how to articulate this very well — but it felt very junior. Too surface-level. Too cute. Too teen. Now the sex was hot, so this book was not written for a teen audience, but the story just felt sort of easy. Simple. Tame. I see by the other reviews here that many people like it. One person called it “gripping”. Um, no. It’s not gripping unless maybe you’re 12...
