The Wolf King's Mate (Marked Beneath the Moon Book 1)

by Lola Glass

About this book

Abducted by the lethal and notoriously cruel werewolf king, a young woman finds herself thrust into a world of shifting politics and primal danger. As the only female werewolf he has ever encountered, she becomes the target of an intense, possessive obsession when his wolf claims her as his mate. Despite her initial fear, she discovers a surprisingly gentle side to the monster who stole her away, sparking an undeniable tension that threatens to unravel her resolve.

This paranormal shifter romance masterfully blends high-stakes pack dynamics with the classic enemies-to-lovers trope. While the king is a growly, protective alpha who demands her total submission, she harbors a dangerous secret that could save his people but ultimately destroy her. Navigating the treacherous social hierarchy of the pack, she must decide if the burgeoning trust and raw chemistry between them is worth the ultimate sacrifice.

Readers searching for their next addictive escape will love the blend of vulnerability and strength found in this gripping narrative. With a perfect balance of dark atmosphere, found-family warmth, and spicy encounters, it is an immersive experience that keeps you hooked from the first page until the final, satisfying conclusion.

Nothing I hadn't read before but addicting nonetheless

I adored this book. It got out of both my reading and writing slump. It was kinda predictable at times, but I liked it. It had the spice and one of my favorite tropes. I love a good kidnapping story(I guess I'm just weird like that). And even though it wasn't necessarily kidnapping, it still had the vibes. I would recommend this book to anyone who reads and adores shifter romances and wants a quick, fast-paced read. And if you're in a reading slump, then I'm sure this book can help. I would not...

Perfect wolf romance

This book has the perfect, growly, obsessed, protective, cranky alpha! His mate has vulnerability, compassion, strength and a complicated and painful past. As their relationship grows so does their passion and love. I enjoyed the minor characters as well and hope to see their stories develop in future books. This was a very fast read for me because I really enjoyed it a lot! ) 4 people found this helpful

As a side note to the author : MA'AM, we (yes I'm lumping everyone into this!) need more! Not want, NEED more! I can totally vibe with the werewolf reading. (Everything werewolf must be read! And because of this I sometimes find it hard to. Find ones that actually work for me; BUT!- yours pulled me right in and kept me in! (Yes at this point I've read several of your books and I love them, but this one! This one is my fav now!!!! )) So yup, we NEED more, and need to follow the characters from...

Refreshing

Loved this authors writing style. Quick, to the point and just enough detail to keep you devouring the pages. Perfectly paced. Funny, supposedly a violent A hole of a possessive male but it is fine he’s a werewolf I don’t expect human behavior. Adult material. Funny, strong and independent FMC. Not huge on plot or storyline, but LOVEABLE characters that grow on you and just enough plot to keep the book going. An easy read. Recently started and stopped some other books because of too much...

A good cozy read

This story does have its ups and downs to make it interesting, the male is ultra possessive. She and her wolf are strong willed but not butting heads over every single thing. He is only soft with her and shows his affection through taking care of her. Its clear at first he isn't sure how to show affection apart from protecting and feeding her. He is grouchy with practically everyone else. The character growth along the way is amazing. It has a neat twist when it comes to the wolf lure that...
