Molly Somerville is the creative force behind a beloved children’s book series, but her personal life is a chaotic mess of impulsive decisions and a massive, unrequited crush. Her target? Kevin Tucker, the arrogant, infuriatingly gorgeous quarterback of the Chicago Stars. While he barely knows she exists, a sudden collision of their worlds forces them together, stripping away the public facades they both desperately cling to.
This gripping urban fantasy romance breathes fresh life into the shifter genre, masterfully blending high-stakes professional sports drama with a touch of supernatural intrigue. As the pair retreats to the idyllic, hidden sanctuary of Wind Lake, the story transcends typical athlete tropes. What begins as a battle of wills between a reckless jock and a woman with a penchant for trouble quickly evolves into a raw, emotional journey of healing.
Fans of the Chicago Stars series will relish the sharp, witty dialogue and the deep character growth that makes this installment stand out. It is a perfect pick for readers who crave a paranormal romance where the stakes are high, the chemistry is volatile, and the path to love is anything but predictable. Prepare to be enchanted by a story where the magic is as real as the heartbreak.

To me, a sign of a good book is one where you start reading it, get interrupted and can't get back to it for almost two weeks, and find the characters still leap off the pages and grab you back into the story. Susan Elizabeth Phillips' latest book revisits old favorites and finishes out her saga about the Chicago Stars football team. Molly Somerville has finally grown up and come into her own. The super smart child...

You know that time when you feel so restless you want to do something you don't usually do that is so far out from what is expected of you? Molly Sommerville has that buzz from time to time that led to the crazies and twisties of this book. In all of SEP's books I've read so far, this has the most twisted and crazy funny characters. The author, Ms Phillips, gives us Molly Sommerville, brainy, well behaved usually, unless she has that once in a blue moon streak of Crazy where she colors her...

Susanne Eliz Phillips at her best! Filled with warmth, inner talk, humor and spiced with sarcasm. Heart-warming story with real and imaginary creatures, and of course, a happy ending! )

Kevin Tucker is the quarterback for the Chicago Stars and Molly has had a long-time crush on him. The two end up together and Molly takes advantage of Kevin while he is asleep. She ends up pregnant and they end up...
