Wolf God: Ruthless Gods: Wolf God, Book 1

by Veronica Douglas

About this book

The Dark Wolf God was nothing more than a bedtime story used to frighten young shifters, until he tore into reality and shattered everything Samantha knew. After a brutal attack that left her pack in ruins, she finds herself ripped from her world and held captive by the very monster she was taught to fear. Cadean is a shifter of terrifying legend, a lethal alpha burdened by a dark curse and an ancient war with the fae. He believes Samantha is the key to his salvation, and he will stop at nothing to unlock the mysterious magic hidden within her.

This gripping paranormal romance masterfully blends high-stakes pack dynamics with a volatile enemies-to-lovers tension. As the slow-burn attraction between captive and captor intensifies, Samantha must navigate the thin line between survival and surrender. Is Cadean merely a monster consumed by his own dark soul, or is there a man worth redeeming buried beneath his savage exterior?

Perfect for fans of intense, character-driven fantasy, this story delivers a provocative exploration of power, obsession, and loyalty. With its atmospheric world-building and complex, tortured hero, the journey is as frustrating as it is addictive. Dive into this dark, seductive tale where the only thing more dangerous than the beast is the bond forming between them.

A Howlingly good read!!

I may have found my new 'book boyfriend ', I'd like to say a new BFF also, but nope. The world building, character development and story line are excellent! Exciting and with enough twists to keep you wondering. Samantha is the 1st female MC in a while that I've wanted to smack upside the head and yell 'Grow the F up!', at. It's just part of the plot line, and I know I'll get the next book... and probably still want to tell at her. An awesome read I highly recommend.!! ) 2 people found this...

Can we find the Wolf God another mate?

I enjoyed this book to a point. Lovely world building and well written. Then I got to the point were I was so absolutely frustrated with Samantha, the heroine of this tale I wanted to throw my Kindle. I get that I'm looking at it from an omnipotent standpoint. As the reader I've got both views, I know insider information so to speak. But dear little baby Jesus, I wanted to shake her narrow minded, overly stubborn, yet stupidly gullible self, until some common sense kicked in. At 45% I'm like...

Hopeful for love to win!

This book is so good but also so frustrating! It was hard to put down! Good twists and turns making me want to get to the hopefulness of her love for the dark God! )

Great story and dialogue. It kept me up reading well into the night to finish it! Now I just need the next one :) )

decent but didn’t love it

I wanted to like this story more than I did. The plot is great, the writing is good, but the execution just didn’t quite work for me. My biggest problem with the book is their relationship doesn’t change at all. She thinks he is an evil war lord who likes to kill and conquer, she goes to his land and despite learning that the fae are trying to mine his land for immortality and doing that through conquering she seems to still blame him completely. So I left the book not sure if a) he actually is...
