In a world where celestial beings rule with iron fists and vampires serve as their lethal subordinates, Elena Deveraux stands out as one of the best hunters in the Guild. She possesses a unique tracking ability that makes her indispensable, but her latest assignment is far from ordinary. She has been summoned by Raphael, a breathtakingly powerful and dangerous Archangel who demands she track down one of his own kind—a rogue archangel who has succumbed to a murderous bloodlust.
This gripping entry into the paranormal romance genre masterfully weaves together high-stakes tension and dark desire. As Elena navigates a landscape of ancient power and lethal politics, she finds herself drawn into an volatile dance with Raphael. The narrative leans heavily into the allure of the blood-bond trope, exploring the electrifying, forbidden connection that develops between a mortal hunter and an immortal god. The chemistry is as sharp as a blade, threatening to consume Elena long before the killer does.
Fans of immersive world-building and intense character-driven narratives will find this series impossible to put down. It is a masterclass in tension, blending biblical fantasy with a modern, gritty edge. If you are looking for your next obsession, step into this world where archangels play and mortals are forever changed.

Angels¡¦ Blood is the first book in the Guild Hunter series and man, oh man is it an excellent read. In all honesty, this review is the result of a re-read for me and I am OK with admitting my absolute, total and complete addiction to this series. For me, this book (and series) has it all: strong characters both major and minor, an interesting and far-reaching plot line, lots of action and intrigue and some excellent sexy scenes. What else can a girl realistically ask for in a series? Singh has...

`Angels' Blood' is the first book in Nalini Singh's paranormal `Guild Hunter' series. `Angels' Blood' came out in 2009 and has been sitting on my shelf all this time. I don't know why. I read plenty of enticing reviews of the first two books in the series, and I have enjoyed Singh's 'Psy-Changeling' series (if only Hawke's book would hurry the heck up!). But for some reason I stalled in reading her Guild Hunter series. But then the kind people over at Hachette Australia gave me an advanced copy...
