Bound and Unbound: A paranormal novella duology

by Holly Roberds
Waking up on a cold morgue slab with zero memories and an insatiable thirst for blood is a bad day by any standard. For our nameless heroine, it is the start of a dangerous new existence in the neon-soaked shadows of Las Vegas. Thrust into a supernatural underworld she barely understands, she must hunt for the truth about her past while desperately staying one step ahead of the enemies closing in on her.
Her search for answers leads her straight to the most powerful man on the Strip: Death himself. He is magnificent, terrifying, and currently running the city’s most exclusive hotel in a perfectly tailored suit. When he decides to keep her under lock and key, she refuses to play the victim. Instead, she plans to make his life a living hell until she earns her freedom, all while struggling to hide the undeniable, soul-deep connection pulling them together.
Blending dark romance with a delicious slow-burn tension, this series opener is a must-read for fans of found-family dynamics and high-stakes paranormal thrills. With an irreverent, tough-as-nails vampire at its core and a grim reaper who is as dangerous as he is alluring, this story is an addictive, action-packed ride.

This is probably one of my favorite series! I've read it at least three times. Why is it my favorite? Because it has my favorite tropes/themes: Vampires, Gods, Egyptian Gods, Enemies to Lovers, Strong Female Lead, Bad As* Best Friend....just to name a few. Vivien is such a perfect FMC. She is hilarious, strong, and super sassy! She knocks the MMC, Grim, off of his feet and it is so good. Grim, aka Death, is the perfect brooding alpha who has a very tough exterior but we see in this books parts...

I picked up this book when I saw something about Death’s dogs. Well that and it seemed like the heroine has made friends with Death’s dogs, which is totally something I would end up doing. It’s been a while since I have read a book with vampires so this was a nice change for me, and honestly it was a very interesting take on the subject. In this reality vampires are called sekhors and they have been thought to have been eradicated, so when Vivien is turned into a vampire and has no memory of...

WHHHAt the heck! I’m absolutely Loved this book! I stumbled across Bitten by death in a TT video and decided to give it a shot, boy am I so glad I did! It was Amazing! I was Hooked from the start! There is no boring chapters or downtime, I was so consumed by Vivian and what is now her world from the start to finish! I have never read anything like this, I thought it was so nice and refreshing. The History is so intriguing and it’s just so fitting! I loved Vivian’s personality, she was so much...

I really really enjoyed Tasting Red and Chasing Goldie by this author. Both books were cheeky, fun, delivered the spice and romance, and had some fantastic super sexy MC's. This book HAD ZERO SPICE!!!!!! NONE. That being said, my review doesn't take any stars for that alone. I often love the tension and banter and build up just as much as the actual spice, sometimes more so. This book is a 2.5 stars for me. Considered not finishing it. Starting skimming certain parts towards the end. Great...

No spoilers: the FMC has such a unique voice and one that we don’t often see in the fantasy genre. There were so many times I found myself laughing because of something off the wall she said. As much as I loved the back and forth between the two main characters, what makes me love this book so much is how fun, wild, and different Vivian is. Also, the lore and world building was great. Grim’s backstory was a pleasant surprise and turn away from the gods we typically meet in fantasy and dark...
