There are no words to capture the wide range of feelings I have toward the novel, Born of Blood and Ash. For a long time now, author Jennifer L. Armentrout, has pulled ahead of her fellow romanatsy/ fantasy romance authors to rank as my top favorite. There is so much to digest with this book. First, the Flesh and Fire series is one of my favorites. I am obsessed with Nyktos, obsessed! A lot of times I don't feel a connection to supporting characters, but the author has a way of writing that allows you to have a deeper understanding of who each character is. I wanted to give this book 5 stars so bad! The overall plot of the book was excellent but I feel at sometimes it got lost. Sera saying she is fine she is ok for the millionth time and didn’t not come to some semblance of understanding her trauma till 600 pages in the book was a lot. I love spice but some moments were just not called for it when we were planning a war that only lasted a couple pages. We got nothing of her making the wolves.
