Court of Dreams: Shadow Fae, Book 4

by C.N. Crawford

About this book

Exiled, hunted, and desperate, Liora finds herself cast out onto the cold streets of London. As a mysterious plague ravages the Knights of the Institute, the blame falls squarely on her shoulders. Forced to infiltrate the enemy stronghold to confront the enigmatic Ruadan, she is quickly captured and imprisoned. What begins as a heart-wrenching betrayal soon unravels into a complex web of misunderstandings, proving that the line between foe and savior is dangerously thin.

This gripping installment in the Demons of Fire and Night world masterfully blends dark urban fantasy with intense paranormal romance. As Liora, the true Angel of Death, she must embrace her lethal heritage to survive. Alongside the dark demigod Ruadan, she embarks on a high-stakes quest to unearth the truth about her father and stop the monstrous Baleros. With the fate of the world hanging in the balance, they must rely on their blossoming bond to thwart a villain seeking to claim Ruadan’s immortal power.

Fans of enemies-to-lovers tropes and gritty, supernatural stakes will be enthralled by this final journey. It is a story of sacrifice, hidden identities, and the kind of fierce, soul-binding love that defies even the gods. Prepare for a cinematic, heart-pounding conclusion that solidifies this series as a must-read for any vampire and fae romance aficionado.

Wreaths of Flowers and Shadows

February 11, 2024

Arianna is now Liora, the angel of death. She has always been Liora, the daughter of Adonis the Horseman of Death, but she preferred to live the lie. Once she told Ruadan who she really was it was his duty to keep her away from the Institute for the protection of the Shadow Fae, but also for hers. Angels such as Liora were considered abominations and not suffered to live by the guardian fae. Liora loved Ruadan and missed him terribly and now that she controlled the army of mist and used them to...

wonderful series

I truly enjoyed this series. There were a few low moments in the book where I couldn’t tell where the author was going with the story line it felt a little mature for a seasoned author. All in all it is worth reading. The characters have relatable qualities that made me laugh and even cringe at times. )

such a good ending with surprises

Lionel and Ruadan realize they love each other and that is their strength. This book is a quest with obstacles. Baleros can be killed but he is brought back to life by the fire god. He also made promises to the night god. It is the night gods magic that causes the chaos. This is a non stop read. There is humor, sarcasm, dry wit and multiple interesting characters. The story is a slow burn but there is always chemistry between Ruadan and Liore. The story also takes her on a journey to heal and...

Good ending

This last book in this series continued the unique world of shadow fae and Liora & Ruadan’s story. Lots of battle action & sexual scenes. Sometimes it felt like the sexual scenes were thrown in to make sure the storyline got a spicy rating. The sexual scenes thrown in during battle scenes didn’t seem necessary or even really relevant. It kind of slowed down the pace of the story. But for the most part, I truly enjoyed this series of books & this last one too. I love the author’s since of humor,...
