Bound and Unbound: A paranormal novella duology
Ali Hazelwood
by Lexi Hodges
In a kingdom where magic is a death sentence, Bronwen survives by hunting the very creatures that terrorize her world. As a siphoner, she steals power from vampires to feed her own insatiable need. But her dangerous double life shatters the night she encounters a target who refuses to fight back. Instead of dying, he smiles, leaving Bronwen permanently marked and tethered to a monster she cannot escape.
This gripping prequel to the War of Her Heart series is a masterclass in paranormal romance. It masterfully weaves a high-stakes enemies-to-lovers narrative where the line between predator and prey constantly blurs. Bound by an involuntary connection, Bronwen is forced to experience the haunting memories of her enemy, uncovering secrets that challenge everything she believes about the war she was raised to fight.
If you crave a slow-burn romance defined by sharp banter, forbidden attraction, and palpable tension, this story is your next obsession. The atmospheric world-building and complex moral dilemmas create an addictive reading experience that keeps you turning pages deep into the night. Brace yourself for a dark, intoxicating journey where the most dangerous enemy might just be the one your heart refuses to let go.

I loved this book. I didn't think I'd love a book more than the first but these two definitely beat that! The banter and connection can't be beat! Ready to see what the next book has in-store! ) One person found this helpful

It took me a while to finish reading I would say it took me about a month to get 70% of the book and thats when I felt it started to pick up and I was able to finish the rest of the book in two days. I...

From the very beginning this book is very interesting and unique. It draws you in and keeps you turning pages as you read about Winnie and her exploits. )

Gosh, I struggle with how to rate this book. If it wasn't billed and heavily marketed as a romance, my rating would be higher. It's a great addition to the series (it's really a prequel and not book two of the series) and the writing, character development, and overall compilation of the book is a huge improvement from book one (which was an entertaining read). BUT - it's not a romance. There is no happily-ever-after or even \"happy for now\" for the couple. ***Spoilers*** The book ends with...
