For centuries, Andor Katona lived as a solitary monk in the Carpathian Mountains, his existence defined by a colorless, unfeeling void. He had resigned himself to death at the hands of skilled vampire hunters until a fierce, unexpected savior intervened. Lorraine Peters, a woman fueled by the grief of losing her entire family, charged into the fray with a lethal courage that stunned the ancient warrior. In that singular, violent moment, their destinies collided, and Andor realized he had finally found his lifemate.
This installment in the legendary Carpathian series masterfully blends dark urban fantasy with high-stakes paranormal romance. As Andor and Lorraine navigate their newfound telepathic bond, they are thrust into the center of a brewing war against the Malinov vampire army. Lorraine’s cunning nature makes her a formidable ally, but it also paints a target on her back, drawing the dangerous attention of a master vampire desperate for vengeance.
If you crave stories filled with ancient vampire courts, forbidden desires, and relentless hunters, this novel delivers a gripping emotional journey. It is a tale of survival, shifting loyalties, and the enduring power of a fated connection that refuses to be broken by the shadows of war.

Absolutely love this book! The story of Andor and Lorraine is woven beautifully among the continuing tale of the Carpathian ancients and their war with the Malinov Vampire army. Andor debates allowing mortal wounds to end his life, allow human hunters finish what a battle with vampires had begun and end his dark existence. Lorraine searches for ways to heal the pain of loss, of senseless death that took all she loved and continue life. Discovering Andor under attack, knowing he didn't want to...

I had mixed feeling about Dark Sentinel. I had to read it twice to figure out why it was not holding my attention. I listened on audible book and then I went back and read my HB book. I couldn't make up my mind if its a 3 star story or a 4 star. So I gave it the benefit of the doubt and gave it 4 stars. Lorraine Peters is one of the best written lifemates I have read in awhile. She is a martial arts instructor. Her family worked as martial arts instructors. Then one day her once loving brother...

I'd really give this more like a 4.5 because there are parts where it rushed through things when I wished it would star to explore for a while. To elaborate and build up more of the world and the other characters and relationships with them. It was still wonderful though! The last few books of the Dark Series has really renewed my faith. Each of the male main characters have felt distinct and uniquely their own separate personalities, something that had been hard to distinguish or feel for a...

How can I only five it 5 stars when I feel it deserves so much more? I have been waiting for Andore's book for what seems like forever. And Christine did not disappoint. Everything about this book just seemed so perfect, except for the one grammatical error. I will not give away any details of the book so that you can enjoy it for yourself. However I will say that I felt like it ended too soon and that this was the biggest cliffhanger of all of her books. When I came to the end I was so...
