Don't Feed the Vampire (Coastal Creatures Book 1)

by Grae Bryan

About this book

Riley has spent his existence as a fractured, feral vampire, hiding in the shadows to protect humanity from his own insatiable hunger. As an anomaly among his kind, he has long resigned himself to a lonely, unstable life. That changes the moment he catches the scent of Seth, a charming local baker whose sweetness is as intoxicating as it is dangerous. Riley is convinced he has finally found his fated mate, but he must now face his greatest challenge: suppressing his monstrous instincts long enough to actually win the man’s heart.

For Seth, life has always been about his bakery and his community, not whirlwind romances. Yet, he finds himself inexplicably drawn to the quiet, intense stranger who lingers at his door. Despite the red flags and the strange, unnerving way Riley looks at him, Seth discovers a magnetic pull he cannot ignore. What begins as a cautious curiosity quickly spirals into a deep, undeniable bond that neither man can escape.

This heated MM paranormal romance perfectly blends the grumpy-sunshine and fated-mates tropes into a gripping, emotional journey. With high-stakes tension, a touch of mystery, and a heartwarming blood-bond, it is the ultimate read for those craving a sweet yet intense supernatural love story.

Wow!

A trip down memory lane. I read the complete preceding series leading to the adoption of Riley. I never thought I’d be reading a sequel.. Grae Bryan is a gifted writer. I enjoyed every single page of the novel. I’m looking forward to more in this new series. )

🧛🏻 Sweet, Feral, and Slightly Confusing

This book is one of those stories that feels like stepping back into a familiar world… except your memory is a little foggy and the timeline refuses to cooperate. Right from the start, I felt like I should remember more than I actually did. Riley is not a new character, he’s the kid the Hyde Park Vampires rescued in the earlier books, but trying to pinpoint exactly when and how? That’s a whole investigation on its own. At some point, I just accepted the confusion and went along for the ride....

Great start to a new series!!

4.5 stars....A sweet and sexy PNR/Small Town/Fated Mates/Baby Vamp x Human tale…This is sweet Seth’s (from Demon Bound series)and Baby Vamp, Riley’s (whom we met at the end of Vampire Mates series) story! So happy sweet Seth got his HEA! Riley and Seth were so fun together especially Riley’s version of courting Seth!! As par for the course with Grae, there are quite a few fun, quirky secondary characters (especially Riley’s moms) which always leads to a delightful story..I loved every word!! )...

very satisfying read

This book hit all the right buttons with romance, sexiness, family (found and otherwise), and hints that there might be more adventures in this universe. Or at least I’m hoping there will be. The epilogue was especially emotionally satisfying. )

Sweet and very hot

Age gap (19-26) Fated mates Inexperienced top Interesting use of healing saliva 🤭 Overall, it was sweet, hot, and just a fun, easy read about two very adorable idiots trying to figure things out. Seth moves to a new town for a fresh start and ends up meeting Riley, a reclusive vampire who’s basically been in hunger training for the past ten years and is just now learning how to be around people again. He’s trying his best, ok? I really liked both main characters. Seth seeing himself as average...
