Isadora Savoie prefers the company of her plants and shelter animals over people, finding comfort in the quiet, healing magic of her greenhouse. But when a string of disappearances haunts her New Orleans neighborhood, the shy witch is pulled from the shadows and thrust into a high-stakes investigation. To solve the mystery, she must partner with the most unlikely ally imaginable: Devraj Kumar, a flashy, three-hundred-year-old Stygorn vampire with a penchant for chaos and a legendary reputation.
This electric paranormal romance masterfully blends danger with humor as these polar opposites are thrown together by fate. Their forced-proximity dynamic is nothing short of explosive, moving from reluctant teamwork to an undeniable, simmering attraction. As they navigate supernatural threats, Bollywood marathons, and the complexities of the vampire world, Devraj finds himself captivated by the one woman who refuses to fall for his charms.
Juliette Cross delivers a captivating found-family narrative that feels both cozy and thrilling. If you are craving a spicy, lighthearted escape filled with witty banter and swoon-worthy chemistry, this is the perfect addition to your reading list. Prepare to fall hard for the most charismatic vampire in the Big Easy in this unforgettable, heart-pounding adventure.

DEVRAJ!! Holy hot Stygorn! Juliette Cross has done it again. She WOWed me. And then made me fall even more in love with her and her writing. She has just made a spot for herself on my list of Rock Star Authors and will now be an automatic 1-click for me. HER WORDS ARE MAGIC. And I’m not just saying that because this book is about beautiful witches and their witchcraft and vampires and their powers. It’s because she pulled me in and then under with her words and with a story so captivating, I...

I am really liking this series. It is light hearted and easy to read. It has witches, vamps and shifters in it. It has spice. It is set in New Orleans which happens to be one of my fav places. This is book 2 in the series and focuses on Isadora, our plant/earth witch. She is living life and enjoying it. She is extremely introverted and comfortable with her singleness. She hasn't really found a man attractive in a minute- come to think of it she hasn't been on a date in a minute BUT that is all...

I loved, loved the unfurling of Devraj and Isador’s HEA. The story is filled with all the emotions, the connections and the love. This delicious story evoked all the feels for me. Expect to laugh, cry, gasp, cheer, grind your teeth, and swoon while reading. The story included witty dialogue, three dimensional characters who grow, and an engaging storyline. Isodora is a witch and a conduit. She is quiet and keeps to herself, preferring plants and animals to crowds of people. Devraj is a powerful...

Such a good an enjoyable, strange and sexy story. This is the first book I read in the series, but now I need to go back and start from book 1! We meet Isadora and Devraj in the opposite of a “meet cute”. We also learn, early on, that Isadora is a witch and Devraj is a old and powerful vampire who is in town to help a friend on some missing person’s cases. Isadora is visibly and understandably attracted to Devraj (who is ridiculously attractive and charismatic) but she keeps her social circle...

Though I did like this book, I had some issues. Some may not agree and that is alright! First, I was bummed to have the second book about a sister we barely got to know from the first book. While I know why some authors do this, it set up disappointment for me. Which was maybe why I didn't enjoy it as much. Second, the reason the author gave as the promblematic issue that every romance has just was not good enough for me. She did SO WELL with the build up and reasonings for not being able to be...
