Bound and Unbound: A paranormal novella duology

Morals are a luxury I stopped affording years ago. As an elite operative for the Monster Security Agency, my job is simple: stand guard, collect the paycheck, and never ask questions. My current assignment in a mad scientist’s basement seems like just another routine shift, until curiosity gets the better of me. When I peel back the layer of mystery surrounding that steel door, I find her. With tear-streaked cheeks and wide, terrified blue eyes, she is everything I am not allowed to have.
The moment our gazes lock, the cold, calculated mercenary in me dies. She is my mate, a fated bond that overrides every professional protocol I have ever sworn to uphold. Suddenly, the paycheck doesn’t matter, and the Agency’s neutral stance becomes a death warrant. I am a lethal protector by trade, but now I am a man possessed, determined to tear down the walls of this twisted laboratory to claim her.
If you crave high-stakes paranormal romance, this story delivers a gripping blend of danger and intense chemistry. It is the perfect escape for those who love found-family dynamics and the irresistible pull of fated mates. Dive into a world where the monsters are the heroes and love is worth the ultimate sacrifice.

I love Cara and her stories! Not only are the plots and concepts rather unique, but there is no redundancy with the thoughts of the characters. They evolve and it is a seamless transformation that is very enjoyable to read. Give this one a go if you love great writing, story telling, and beautiful romances. 😊 ) One person found this helpful

I wanted to like this more than I did. It seemed like just my thing, and it's only like 200 pages so it would be a nice fast read. I just never got sucked in, and the instalove didn't really let the relationship get that deep. The FMC was also kind of bland - she just likes sitting back and letting the golem make all the decisions and do all the work. She really only makes one important decision, and the golem has to do all the work while she just sat around. It was also kind of weird how the...

Honestly I really enjoyed this one. Although I confess not as much as the rest of the series as this one wasn't as spicy as some of the others in the books However it did still have some sweet and touching moments that I liked and I would still recommend it if you enjoy bodyguard or Monster Romance. Mason and Maya were a really sweet couple and I liked that Maya was a softer female character as well . I've been reading a lot of books with gung-ho, salty have to take on the world heroin's lately...

Good story. These types of stories, monster stories I mean, are too fast paced and unreal. Mason is a Golem and works as a security guard who lost his job, but then gets rehired again the next day. His new job requires him to stand guard and watch a room. Maya, was a school teacher who's been kidnapped by a Doctor using her for her special blood. She is a human. Mason soon finds out he's guarding a room with a hostage (Maya) and basically saves her and burns the house to the ground. All this...
