Bound and Unbound: A paranormal novella duology

Cassie Greenberg is an artist on the verge of eviction, desperate enough to accept a suspiciously affordable room in a beautiful Chicago apartment. Her new roommate, Frederick J. Fitzwilliam, is undeniably strange. He sleeps through the daylight hours, speaks with the formal cadence of a Regency gentleman, and leaves thoughtful, heart-melting notes that make Cassie’s pulse race. He is also undeniably gorgeous, especially when he is caught shirtless during their rare overlapping hours.
The forced-proximity setup takes a supernatural turn when Cassie discovers bags of blood in the refrigerator, forcing Frederick to reveal his dark secret: he is a centuries-old vampire. What follows is a charming paranormal romance that balances witty banter with the dangerous allure of immortality. As they navigate their unconventional living arrangement, the tension between them shifts from awkward to electric.
For readers seeking a cozy yet high-stakes love story, this debut offers a delightful blend of historical charm and modern romance. While it leans into familiar genre tropes, the chemistry between the struggling artist and the polite, blood-drinking gentleman creates a captivating dynamic. If you want a lighthearted escape that proves true love is worth any risk—even one involving a vampire—this is the perfect addition to your bookshelf.

I enjoyed a lot about this book—most notably the main characters and their individual stories—though I do feel as if certain aspects were rushed over in the name of ease. SPOILERS AHEAD Frederick and Cassie are very lovable together, though there are pieces of their respective characters that don’t make a lot of sense or feel little more than throw-away lines in an otherwise cute book! Frederick’s ‘vampire talent’ being that he accidentally summons fruit when nervous while other vampires are...

Have yall ever started a book, loved it SO much, that you put off finishing it as long as possible just so you can bask in the knowledge that you dont have to let those characters, or that story, go? Just me??well if you want to know how that feels, READ THIS BOOK!! Honestly, i loved every second of this book. From page 1, to the epilogue, it was so funny yet also romantic at the same time. Fredrick, is HILARIOUS!! The way he spoke as if he was stuck in the 1800’s (which in his head, he sort of...

By the cover, I thought it would be more of a romcom, but it wasn't for me. I really liked the beginning of this book and I liked where it was going, but there were so many unanswered questions. Why didn't Cassie ask more questions about Frederick's past? And why was she so afraid to ask more? I would've been all over that. Asking a billion questions...and Reginald flying...sign me up! Why did she prefer to take an Uber 🤦♀️ Why was Frederick in a coma for so long? What had Reginald given him...

And needs help in modern society? Sign. Me. Uuuuupp! 👀 Cassie (in her 20s maybe?) finds a $200 a month apartment for rent on Craigslist and can’t believe her luck 😳 (let’s be real. In THIS economy!? Girl. If you don’t take it I will 💅). It seems too good to be true. So she messages the owner, Frederick (320) and he responds quickly and in a very professional manner 😅 (sometimes extremely formal 🤣). She goes to see the place and takes it 🤷🏻♀️ (it’s also then when Frederick realizes that...
