About this book

Penny Sinclair has spent her entire life feeling like something fundamental is missing, a void she could never quite define. That changes the moment a catastrophic accident reveals the truth: she is a natural witch with a volatile, overflowing reservoir of magic. This discovery thrusts her into the crosshairs of the Mages Guild, a corrupt and terrifying organization determined to exploit her raw power.

To survive, Penny must rely on a mysterious, lethal rogue mage who is as dangerous as he is enigmatic. As they navigate a world teeming with bloodthirsty vampires and shifting loyalties, their forced partnership evolves into an intense, dark romance. Penny is no damsel; she is a fierce protagonist undergoing a powerful transformation as she sheds the shadows of her past and embraces her true, chaotic potential.

This high-stakes paranormal adventure is the crown jewel of the Demon Days, Vampire Nights universe. Blending sharp humor with pulse-pounding action, the story excels at building a compelling found-family dynamic that anchors the supernatural chaos. If you crave a page-turner defined by explosive magic, undeniable chemistry, and a heroine who refuses to be broken, this series is the addictive next read you have been hunting for.

Favorite FMC Around!

This book (and the entire trilogy) was my favorite part of the DDVN series. The rest of the series was decent, had some great moments, was a generally fun read. BUT THIS TRILOGY!! Oh my gourd. There were moments (and one in particular at the end of the third book) where I laughed so hard that my abs were sore. Penny is hands down my favorite heroine in the DDVN series. I wasn’t expecting it, because usually I tend to like tough women who own their toughness (which Reagan and Charity—main...

Penny, she's going to find out how/what magic is, and how she fits into it.

I love kf breene, but I'm not gonna lie, I have a hard time getting into Penny's character. Until she realizes who she is without her mum in her head. Then I get pulled into a head first into Penny's mind. Not only is her mum someone else than she thought she knew, the world is now topsy-turvy. But she going to have to figure out her magic before the magical world punches her ticket. The sarcasm and humor are there, as well as the zing of some sexual tension, on this fast and crazy day in the...

Engaging characters and story

This is a really great series. Engaging characters, lots of humor, even more action. The only drawback is the author uses the language strangely sometimes. Example “highly pressurized situation” instead of just a “high pressure situation”, or a stressful situation. I tend to listen to these on audible, and the weird language often breaks the rhythm of the story. Nonetheless I very highly recommend these books. If you don’t like a bunch of graphic lovemaking the author has conveniently put these...

If you love something set it free

Penelope (Penny) is a weird girl with a horribly overprotective mother. She does and says the oddest things. She feels things in the world around her, but that’s not normal right? So she hides her strangeness under a rock, until she braves a chance to break away from her mother to see what all this strangeness is about. Opening scene Penny is on her way to a Magic Retreat that goes terribly haywire. Here is where she realizes she has a boatload of magic and doesn’t know how to control it. When...

Hilarious. Intriguing. Entertaining.

I was so excited to read this book. KF Breene’s Fire and Ice trilogy was awesome so I knew this book would be great as well. I loved the storyline, the writing and the characters. Penny and her mom were such great characters. They were hilarious and pretty bada**. Her mom was so overbearing which made for some pretty funny moments. I liked Emery as well. He is a powerful natural. He has some issues he needs to overcome and I’m looking forward to what comes after he gets passed them. I loved...
