Slaying the Vampire Conqueror: A Crowns of Nyaxia Standalone

by Carissa Broadbent

About this book

Sylina has spent her entire life as a weapon for the Arachessen, a ruthless cult dedicated to the Goddess of Fate. Stripped of her sight and burdened by a lethal purpose, she is tasked with the ultimate mission: infiltrate the ranks of the invading vampire conqueror, Atrius, and end his life. In the brutal, unforgiving world of Glaea, she is a shadow meant to strike down a king, but she never anticipated that her greatest enemy would become her most dangerous temptation.

Atrius is a terrifying warrior, a man defined by his conquest and his blood-soaked reputation. Yet, as Sylina serves as his seer, she uncovers the fractured, haunting past beneath his armor. What begins as a calculated assassination plot spirals into a volatile, forbidden romance that defies her vows and threatens the very foundations of her world. As they traverse a landscape of dark curses and epic battles, Sylina must decide if her loyalty to her goddess is worth the cost of the man who has claimed her heart.

Perfect for fans of dark-romance and high-stakes fantasy, this standalone installment in the Crowns of Nyaxia series delivers a gripping enemies-to-lovers narrative. It is an addictive, visceral experience filled with moral ambiguity, intense spice, and gut-wrenching emotional stakes that will leave you breathless until the final page.

\"Slaying the Vampire Conqueror\" by Carissa Broadbent is a standalone novel set in the \"Crowns of Nyaxia\" world. It features the classic enemies-to-lovers trope, following a cult-member FMC—Sylina—who’s tasked with infiltrating enemy forces and spying on them... and her nemesis, the vampire conqueror MMC, Atrius. This was actually my second read of the book, but since I never shared my thoughts the first time around, I’m indulging now. And boy, do I have thoughts. First off, this book is the...

Brilliant! Loved this stand-alone from the Crowns of Nyaxia world

⭐⭐⭐⭐💫 \"I live in dark stories. And I've been living in yours for nearly four months. If you're going to invite me in, invite me.\" I pushed against his chest, hard. \"I already see you, Atrius. I'm not afraid.\" \"Both of us were being slowly strangled by those who had taken all our faith. We had no one to blame but ourselves.\" \"I know you. I know every moment you lied to me, because I know every moment you told the truth. I know your truth. I can't ignore it. Even though it would be far...

Another incredible addition to Crowns of Nyaxia

Honestly I’m starting to believe that this author can do no wrong in my eyes. I love the world she’s built, I love the characters and the stories within it, the pantheon and the lore. I have left each one hesitant to pick up the next because I was so sure I couldn’t love other characters as much as the ones I’d just fallen for. Each time I’ve been happily very wrong. I love these two. While serpent is my favorite overall story in the series, this particular story had perhaps my favorite romance...

it was ok!

It was an ok book I guess! I really enjoyed FMC, MMC kinda fell a bit flat to me, I expected more from a vampire conqueror type. The villain was quite obvious from the start, and I think there was too much left to the reader to interpret things like “I knew exactly what she meant!” And I’m here like well I don’t! What did it mean???? And the whole vampire theme, was very weakly portrayed, not much vampiring happening… It almost felt like it could be any other species and the story would just...

Slaying the Vampire Conqueror is a gripping standalone novella in Carissa Broadbent’s Crown of Nyaxia series. It follows Atrius, the exiled king of the House of Blood, and Sylina, a devoted seer bound to the Arachessen, a cult sworn to the goddess Acaeja. Though they come from opposing paths, their fates intertwine as they embark on a dangerous quest to overthrow a tyrannical ruler. Broadbent weaves a darkly enchanting tale of vengeance, prophecy, and forbidden bonds. The journey is...
