Piper Frost is a walking catastrophe. Born with volatile magic that has already cost her everything, she is shipped off to Silvestro Academy as a last resort. With a death sentence looming over her head, she has no interest in making friends, especially when her very presence could prove fatal. But fate has other plans, and they come in the form of a cold, guarded vampire who is forced to share her space.
Kailani Jauregui has spent decades perfecting her life at the academy, excelling in the high-stakes world of Styx and keeping her walls firmly built. She has no room for a messy, dangerous witch in her dorm, yet the instant, electric friction between them is impossible to ignore. As they are thrust into a forced-proximity dynamic, the two women find that their clashing energies might be the only thing capable of breaking the curse threatening to consume Piper.
This gripping sapphic paranormal romance masterfully blends academy intrigue with a race against time. If you crave intense chemistry, life-altering stakes, and a story that will leave you completely obsessed, this is your next must-read. Prepare to lose yourself in a world where love is as dangerous as it is inevitable.

Oh, wow. This story was a lot - in a positive way. It was just extraordinary, a captivating story, like every single one I had read by Phoenyx Kathryn. There was so much going on in here that you could never get bored. Magic academy, creative magical hockey, witches, vampires and other creatures - that’s what you will find here. Add to that enemies-to-lovers, one bed and fate, and you have all the ingredients for a fantastic paranormal romance. This was an exceptionally good story - one of my...

I loved this story so much. It flowed so well. The characters, the twists, the turns, the passion were all wonderfully written. Piper and Kailani are beautifully flawed and they were both very likeable characters. The build up for them just keeps you wanting more and the world building was awesome. The different creatures and magically beings at this very unique school. Oh and Silas you cannot forget about him! His dialogue broke the tension and brought humor in dark moments that I really...

Fantastic slow burn, but once it start it did not stop. The characters are very well thought out and given a good bit of depth. Filled with tropy goodness. One of those books where a followup with some of the background characters would be lovely. Can't wait for the audiobook. 🙏🙏 PLEASE get Allie Shae. With all the different characters she would so so well with the different voices. )

Loved the concept but there are so many errors that I found it hard to get lost in this book. (I hear this is supposed to be remedied in December.) The storyline warranted the 700+ pages…and yet there were still gaps, abrupt about-faces and bits I was truly confused about. Maybe it was me; I would’ve liked for more in depth information about so many parts even if it meant the book got split into two. All that being said, the height related humor had been cackling. I enjoyed the feisty dynamic...
