The first detail I should share is that this guide was written after the 6th book in the Black Dagger Brotherhood was written. So, the books after #6 Phury's story (this would be Rehvenge, John, and Payne's stories), are not included in this Guide. But don't let that keep you from purchasing the Guide... it is a MUST HAVE for any fan of this series. The book begins with a novella that features more of Zsadist and Bella's story. It starts 3 months after their daughter Nalla is born. Zsadist is...

After reading the first six books, I saw that next up was this Insider's Guide. I went back and forth about getting it. On one hand, I'm a sucker for all things related to a series. On the other, I wasn't sure if it would be worth it. I thought it would be a good idea to check out the one star reviews to see just what they didn't like. Some said that it wasn't worth getting because the content is on J.R. Ward's website. This was good to know. Personally, I don't have a lot of time to sit on the...

This book was a surprise. Wasn't sure what to expect but this is an excellent fun read. Not only do you get Father Mine (Z, Bella and Nalla's novella) there are interviews, short stories, deleted scenes (OMG!! The one with Wrath and Beth is worth the price of this book!!! VERY H-O-T!!!) Snippets with the BDB boys ratting out each other about what they did for their shellans for valentine's day is hilarious. There's a great heckling of V over Jane that's great. Phury and Cormia's mating ceremony...

'There's an Insider's Guide? Gotta read that!' were my first thoughts when I saw this book existed. I always have so many questions when I start to really like an author and his/her writing: What gave you the idea for this? Tell me more about your characters. What were you thinking when you wrote ... scene? Who's your fav? Who's your hardest to write? Yeah, all those questions and more were answered when I picked up this BDB extra treat. It covers information from the first six books so I...

I enjoyed this book immensely. Although some of the content in the book can be read for free on JR Ward's message board, she brings the best of what's there together in one place. I have read all the books of the BDB series released to date, and found that the stories and interviews with the characters in the Insider's Guide really were enlightening, some of which explain mysteries or solve contradictions the reader may have been left with after reading the book series. I especially appreciated...
