Survival at Bloodwing Academy was supposed to be the finish line, but for Medea, it was only the beginning of a nightmare. After accidentally awakening a dragon, she finds herself the most coveted pawn in a deadly game of political chess. Every highblood house is desperate to harness the ancient, volatile power now flowing through her veins, but Medea is merely bluffing her way through the chaos, hiding the terrifying truth that the dragon answers to no one—least of all her.
The stakes turn personal when she is forced into a forced-proximity bond with Blake Drakharrow. The man who once felt like a potential ally is now her captor and sole source of sustenance. This dark romance pushes the boundaries of trust and desire, trapping them in a toxic tether where power is the ultimate aphrodisiac and betrayal is a way of life.
Perfect for fans of slow-burn tension and high-stakes academy settings, this installment masterfully blends court intrigue with visceral, blood-soaked stakes. If you crave intense chemistry, complex vampire lore, and a bully-to-lovers dynamic that crackles with danger, this series is your next obsession. Prepare to be consumed by a world where legends are forged in fire and darkness.

This book was definitely better than book 1 and I loved the first book! The slower, emotional parts are heart wrenching and beautiful. The fast-paced action is intense and guttural. The plot is so good. There is major character development and Blake’s character is unfolding in such an amazing way. There is a plot twist that is so awesome and I didn’t expect it at all. The ending is utterly agonizing and I can’t wait to dive into the next book. This series is so good! ) One person found this...

Dark, addictive, and frustrating in all the ways that keep you turning pages. This book had me hooked from the start—the tension, the magic system, and the emotional damage were all there. Medea is an intriguing FMC, especially with the reveal that she is a royal fae, yet so much of her potential still feels locked away. The slow (almost stalled) manifestation of her powers was one of my biggest frustrations. For someone with such a powerful lineage, I expected more growth or at least clearer...

I absolutely loved The Bond That Burns, second book in the Bloodwing Academy series. It completely exceeded my expectations and I truly can’t wait for this story to continue in the third book. This book was intense to say the least. Intense but, so so good. SO many freaking things happen in this book, I don’t know where to start! First off though, the writing was top notch. The natural progression of events in this book unfolded really well and I have to tip my hat to the author. You can tell,...

4.5 Stars I love this series, I will admit this is my favorite of the series so far. I feel like we really got to know our side characters and I love the bond between our FMC and our dragon. I honestly haven't been a huge fan of school settings in the past, but THIS is how you write in a school setting. I was addicted to this book, and it was a struggle to put it down. The characters are written so perfectly and so deep that I was getting emotional at the end. The cliff hanger put me in a...

⭐ Rating: 5/5⭐ How am I supposed to recover from that ending? I am completely unwell. I was already obsessed after book one, but this sequel somehow took everything I loved and made it even better. The plot, the angst, the romance, the spice, the emotional damage... all of it was turned all the way up. Blake and Medra’s dynamic in this book? Pure chaos, and I could not get enough. That true enemies to lovers to enemies. They are such a disaster together, but the kind of disaster I want to live...
