Astraea is a star-maiden reborn into a world of shadows, and she is done playing by anyone’s rules. After the harrowing events of the Libertatem, she finds herself caught in a desperate race against time to reclaim her lost memories and uncover the identity of her own killer. But as her celestial powers awaken, she realizes that the history she is unearthing is poised to repeat itself, threatening to consume everything in its path.
This gripping sequel to the Nytefall trilogy masterfully expands its dark, atmospheric world, blending high-stakes urban fantasy with a simmering, forbidden romance. The tension between Astraea and the vampire lord Nyte reaches a breaking point as they navigate a landscape of shifting loyalties and ancient grudges. With a sinister plot brewing to overthrow the vampire throne, the lines between hero and monster blur, forcing our star-crossed lovers to decide if their connection is worth the price of the world’s destruction.
If you crave an addictive enemies-to-lovers story filled with dual perspectives, haunting flashbacks, and a dark, brooding aesthetic, this is your next obsession. It is a visceral tale where no angel is truly sinless and no monster is entirely heartless. Prepare to be consumed by the night.

This is the kind of sequel that really puts in the work. I love a dual POV and well-done flashbacks, and this book used both to deepen the story in a satisfying way. It made me even more invested in the characters and everything they were going through. For me, great fantasy needs strong character development, meaningful romance, immersive world building, and a thread of mystery. This delivered on all of it. I was completely locked in and flew through it without even thinking about taking a...

Book two of the Nytefall Trilogy. Astraea is recovering more of her memories while trying to figure out her place in the celestial world and more importantly her relationship with Nyte. Well, he shines even more in this installment and completely carries the story. I loved seeing the person behind the monster and how the author fleshes out the devastation done to and by someone who has been made into a weapon. Atraea, she got on my nerves being wishy washy at times but when she shines she...

I know a ton of people didn’t love book 1, but I did. I actually liked this book even more. It felt like the overall plot thickened, and we got even more character depth. I know I am a sucker for a complex story with lots of layers, and I felt that’s what was happening here. I will say the ending did have me going “what? Wait?! What??” I know some people might feel like it’s too much, but for me it’s perfect. I get bored when a romantasy is too simple. Also I love the angsty relationship...

I’m including book 1 and 2 in my review. Book one was interesting but Astraea character was so annoying. Playing to be the victim and the empowered woman at the same time. Every time she needed to do some Would do the opposite. Also, there wasn’t much background to believe that Cassia was her best friend ever. The book just explain that they have been friends for years but Astraea was only able to see her like once every 3 weeks? So the story of Astraea suffering for her best friend really was...

This book 2 was soooo good! I was really impressed with the character growth, the plot twists, and the intensity of Nyte and Astraea. I loved how the author wrote this book in comparison to book 1. If you read book 1 and are on the fence of continuing I highly suggest reading this book! I immediately preordered book 3 coming out in about 3 days. Don't sleep on this series. Oh also it ends on a epic cliffhanger... I need book 3 like now. This book came in excellent condition. )
