by Kathryn Ann Kingsley
Nadi’s journey into the heart of darkness intensifies as she infiltrates the lethal Nostrom vampire empire. Forced to maintain a fragile charade, she must navigate a world where her human pulse is a death sentence. As a newly turned vampire struggling to reconcile her humanity with her predatory surroundings, she finds herself bound to the ruthless Raziel. Their alliance is forged in blood and electric desire, but in a family defined by betrayal, trust is the ultimate vulnerability.
This installment of the Bloodlines series masterfully leans into the dark romance genre, balancing high-stakes political maneuvering with a scorching, complex relationship. Readers will be captivated by the exploration of identity as Raziel pushes Nadi to shed her borrowed pretenses and embrace her true self. Her internal struggle is palpable: does she succumb to the magnetic pull of the man who holds her life in his hands, or does she leverage his siblings’ treachery to annihilate the monsters who destroyed her family?
The Serpent’s Sin is a visceral, addictive experience that sinks its fangs deep into the reader. With its masterful blend of gothic atmosphere and intense, transformative passion, it is the perfect follow-up for those craving a gritty paranormal escape. Prepare to be consumed.

“When was the last time you had sex as yourself?” Raziel asks. He wants her to let go. He’s attracted to her fae form not her borrowed “Monica” body. Nadi is surprised he wants her as herself, not as Monica or someone else. She expected him to recoil from her fae nature, not be attracted to her. Herein lies the beginning of their intricately complicated relationship. We begin where book 1 ended. And damn! Nadi and Raziel are darkly delicious. Nadi fights the fact that she has spent 80 years...

The Serpent’s Sin by Kathryn Ann Kingsley is a breathtaking and emotionally brutal continuation of The Serpent’s Bride, and it sinks its fangs deeper into the soul with every page. This story is dark, seductive, and painfully beautiful, proving once again why Kingsley writes monsters you cannot help but love. Nadi is a fae siren forged by loss and rage, as dangerous as she is mesmerizing. Her allure is not just power, it is survival. Even vampires who despise her kind are drawn to her against...

“That was skill, not magic, that gave her that gift. She grew so much more frightening to him in that moment. And he wanted her so much more for it.” I impatiently waited for the opportunity to get my hands on book two of the Bloodlines series, so when I saw that it was available for request on Netgalley, I decided to shoot my shot and I could not be happier about that decision! What to expect: Vampires vs Fae Secrets & Betrayal Political Intrigue Forbidden Romance Enemies-to-lovers Revenge...

The first few chapters of the book were quite intense which made the plot feel a bit disconnected from the previous book. In general, the spice scene felt misplaced and jarring for those circumstances and a start of a book. It has been interesting to see how Nadi’s and Raz’s relationship gained depth. However, everything else felt drawn out, and sort of insignificant, specifically constant back and forth of Nadi’s conversations with siblings and Nadi and Raz being outmaneuvered repeatedly....
