Bound and Unbound: A paranormal novella duology

by Jade Christy
Seeking an escape from her exhausting life as an ER nurse, Mia Kennedy signs on for a luxury yacht charter, only for a violent storm to leave her stranded on Nightfall Island. This is no ordinary shipwreck; the island is a forbidden sanctuary for a coven of vampires, and it is shielded from the rest of the world by ancient, dangerous secrets.
Caught in a high-stakes game of forced proximity, Mia finds herself drawn to Jude, a brooding, alpha-hero vampire sworn to reject all human connection. Their connection is a masterclass in slow-burn tension, evolving from cautious survival to a forbidden love that defies the laws of his kind. As Mia begins to awaken a dormant, mysterious power within the island itself, she realizes that the land beneath her feet is just as treacherous as the immortals stalking its shadows.
This dark-romance is a refreshing departure from typical vampire lore, blending a gritty atmosphere with the warmth of found-family dynamics. If you crave immersive paranormal worlds, morally gray immortals, and heart-pounding spice, this series is your next obsession. Brace yourself for a gripping journey where danger and desire collide, leaving you desperate for the next chapter.

The book started a little bit slow but it got interesting. I am going to go ahead and read the next book. )

This vampire story is different because the vampire didn't hunt the humans who landed on the beach, but there was a connection between Mia and Jude. This just isn't the typical vampire story and I love it. Can't wait for the 2nd book!!! ) One person found this helpful

This story was okay, but I quit reading around 40 percent in due to a lack of physical description for the characters and repetitiveness of certain words and phrases. It could have been a great story. The idea is really interesting. If only it was written differently. ) 2 people found this helpful
