A Dawn with the Wolf Knight: A Standalone Fantasy Romance (Married to Magic)

by Elise Kova

About this book

Faelyn is one of the last surviving witches, a guardian whose duty is to maintain the magical barriers protecting humanity from the savage lykin. When an encounter with a primordial moon spirit leaves her imbued with forbidden power, she becomes a pawn in a deadly game. The brutal Wolf King claims her as his bride, intending to harness her magic to secure his throne. Trapped in the mystical realm of Midscape, Faelyn realizes that survival means defying a king whose cruelty knows no bounds.

Her only hope for escape lies with Evander, the king’s blisteringly handsome and lethal sworn protector. While he appears to be the monarch’s loyal right hand, Evander harbors a secret agenda to dismantle the king’s reign from within. As they navigate the dangerous politics of the academy and the dark woods, a tension crackles between them that is as volatile as it is undeniable.

This standalone installment in the Married to Magic series delivers a masterful slow-burn romance that perfectly balances high-stakes urban fantasy with historical atmosphere. Evander and Faelyn’s journey is a gripping tale of loyalty, hidden desire, and rebellion, making it the essential next read for fans of dark, alpha-hero paranormal romance.

beautiful

I have loved this series from the start. Each story a stand-alone. Yet this one touches my heart in so many ways. I thought it one of the most beautifully written of this series. First of all, I loved how humble and caring the MFC was. Her attunement to natural spirits was interesting, reminding me of the Native American beliefs and respect for nature. How caring and concerned she was for their well-being and not desiring to ever use anything for her own selfish needs. I also loved the idea of...

Great! But probably not everyones cup of tea

I thought this book was great! It may not be everyones cup of tea, but I enjoyed it. It's not the typical werewolf romance books which honestly was refreshing (but I certainly still like the usual werewolf romance books lol). I was excited to get to know more about the lykin that I had read about in the previous books and the lore was definitely interesting. I wish we had gotten a bit more on it, but still ended up with enough information for the world building and history on them. The mfc is a...

Final Book in the Series

August 3, 2024

This is the last book to come out in the stand alone books all taking place in the same world. The storyline is okay, though I feel not as exciting as the others have been. It moved slowly. The characters were decent but I was not drawn to them as I was in some of her other books. ) 8 people found this helpful

Captivating

August 1, 2024

I have loved the married to Magic series so far but I’ll be honest I was a little apprehensive of this book because I am typically not a fan of shifter romances.. Once again Elise Kova has made me fall in love all over again. This book was amazing! The great thing about the married to magic books is that each books focuses on a different magical species, has a unique magic system, great world building and epic love stories. A Dawn With The Wolf Knight was no different. Faelyn & Evanders love...

A Beautiful Ending to a Captivating Series. No Spoilers.

Once again Elise Kova leads us into the magical world of Midscape, for what seems to be the last time, but is it? This unique rendition of \"Little Red Riding Hood\" is much more than a Grimm fairytale retold. There are some wonderful plots and characters that seem to have been adapted from \"Howl's Moving Castle\" and \"The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter\" that make the story even more intriguing. There are quite a few more spicy scenes in this book than previous ones (I'm all for that in a...
