Cordelia Bone’s perfectly ordered life in Dallas is unraveling, leaving her desperate for a clean slate. When an inheritance summons her and her free-spirited sister, Eustace, to a crumbling Victorian mansion in Connecticut, she expects a quick sale. Instead, they are thrust into a suffocating dynasty trust and a legacy of Nordic witchcraft they never knew they possessed. The sisters are forced to inhabit the estate, but they are not alone. Lurking in the carriage house is a mysterious, tattooed man with a dark past—a man who is as dangerous as he is alluring.
This gripping paranormal romance masterfully weaves together historical intrigue and high-stakes family secrets. As the sisters navigate their newfound powers, they find themselves caught in a lethal game of enemies-to-lovers tension with a groundskeeper who holds the keys to their survival. What begins as a simple estate settlement quickly descends into a fight for their lives against an ancient, stalking shadow that has plagued their lineage for generations.
Fans of Practical Magic will be spellbound by this dark, atmospheric tale. With its rich blend of ancestral rituals, forbidden romance, and visceral mystery, this is the ultimate read for anyone craving a haunting story of blood, power, and the complicated bonds of sisterhood.

This book surprised me I thought it was going to be on of those cozy paranormal books with a little bit of mystery but it was not and has a darkish mystery that I enjoyed )

This book was so much fun! I enjoyed both this and Ava Morgyn's book The Bane Witch. Both of them reminded me of the book Practical Magic by Alice Hoffman. Fun, heartwarming, great stories, and full of Magic! I couldn't put the book down. It's mid September, and the weather just cooled down. I curled up on the couch with a glass of apple cider and the perfect book to get my fall on! This isn't an Amazon Unlimited borrow book. It's a definite purchase to keep in my library to read again. I LOVED...

As children, sisters Cordelia and Eustace Bone never stayed in a house long enough to establish stability. Their mother, Maggie, seemed to be running from something; protecting her children by keeping them in the dark about who and what they were. Now, as adults, their mother is dead, and they have each received news of their inheritance of the family manor, Bone Hill, located in Connecticut. For Cordelia, this might fulfill her desperate needs of quick cash and a place to hide, as well as...

This is a bit different from many other books about witches. It is original and fun and even a bit scary. It appears to be a stand alone novel, not the first of a series, but I suppose we will find out. I liked the sisters and also liked Gordon, but the romance aspect not so much. The author is new to.me and I plan to check out what else she has written. )
