After months spent fleeing the very agency she once served, Gem is finally back on the clock. With a badge in her pocket and a complicated partner by her side, she is desperate for a semblance of normalcy. However, in the world of the Supernatural Security Force, normal is a myth. Between the looming threat of the Nephilim council and the agonizing, slow-burn tension with the irresistibly lethal Adrik, Gem’s life is anything but quiet.
The stakes escalate when a series of horrific experiments turns personal, targeting those closest to her. As a dangerous Nephilim begins weaponizing shifters, Gem realizes she is no longer just chasing monsters; she is being hunted. The chemistry with Adrik remains a constant, volatile distraction—a forbidden attraction where even a simple kiss carries the risk of total annihilation.
This high-octane urban fantasy is the perfect binge for fans of Buffy or Lost Girl. Packed with sharp humor, gritty action, and the kind of romantic yearning that keeps you up all night, this installment pushes Gem to her absolute limit. If you are looking for a paranormal romance that refuses to pull any punches, dive into this electrifying journey where the hunters are suddenly caught dead to rights.

This is the fourth book in the Supernatural Security Force series. Gem loves Nephilim Adrik but they cannot be together since his power may kill her if they try. Nephilim Raguel is turning shifters into demons and he must be stopped. So far two of Gem's friends have been turned blue with demon venom. Gem has a job as an agent with the SSF and she is partnered with her friend Milo. The downside of her new job is she has to report to Rigo, they have a hate/hate relationship going on. Can't blame...

What an unusual cast of characters! I enjoy the way they play off each other and support each other when needed. Relationships are solidifying amongst chaos, turmoil and danger. Yet they still have time for breaking the tenseness with a bit of hilarity and frivolity. ) One person found this helpful

Gem knows where the demons are coming from, who's making them, and what has to be done. But Raguel is so much more dangerous than the rest of the nephilim. She hopes that being back in the SSF will help her find out exactly what he's up to and discover a way to shut him down completely. But with each corner she turns, she runs into more opposition. Even with all of the people in her corner, she may love the one nephilim who means everything to her, a fate worse than death. Gran has the most...

I’m loving this series! Love that her characters actually feel like real people. They swear, have out of pocket thoughts and feelings, and make mistakes. But most of them are good, solid people - good friends, loyal family and fallible at the end of the day. Even if the subject matter is fantasy, it’s still centered around real people that you could see yourself being friends with. Highly recommended! )

I didn't see that ending coming! Wow, totally blind sighted me. As if poor Gem needs any more chaos in her life. How the he'll is she supposed to pull off what Luca asks? I don't know how long until the next book, but I need it to be soon. Heather this series is a smash hit! I love Grand made up potty words! I love Jax. He's mom is a fierce mother who doesn't take no for an answer. I have no idea how she takes care of triplet demon babies. She really needs to show Gem how she does it! )
