And So The Breaking Begins: Mindbreaker Duet, Book 1 (An Age of War and Prophecy 3)

Kali is a woman on a desperate mission, willing to risk everything to rescue her brother from the grip of a wicked necromancer. Her only hope lies in a forbidden alliance with Pharos, an Angel of Death whose cold, intimidating exterior hides a soul forged by five centuries of enslavement. As they journey through the treacherous, darkened landscape of the Shadow Realms, their professional agreement shifts into a volatile enemies-to-lovers dance that burns with intensity.
Pharos has spent an eternity waiting for redemption, but he never expected to find it in the form of a defiant blood mage. Kali is the key to his freedom, yet the price for his protection is the one thing she cannot surrender: her very soul. As their bond deepens, Pharos finds his possessive, alpha-hero instincts ignited, leaving him torn between his duty to save her and his desperate need to claim her for his own.
This gripping paranormal romance masterfully balances high-stakes action with deep emotional resonance. Readers should prepare for a roller coaster of chills, thrills, and heart-wrenching moments that have left fans in tears. If you crave a dark, atmospheric tale where love thrives in the most frightening corners of the afterlife, this is your next obsession.

Both books in this series are a must read and I don’t say that lightly. This author has perfected the balance of plot, to emotional depth, to spice, to detail. The action scenes were well placed to keep the story moving. The explanation of what being evil truly means and the climactic “end” of a certain necromancer was poetic, especially showcases a parent’s devotion. I hope there will be more books in the series or a spin off. I would love to know more about the Weaver’s relationship with...

For 500 years, Pharos was imprisoned and used. Through it all, he maintained his true self, never allowing the evil of his jailer to imprint upon him. Kali is a woman determined to free her brother from the evil Cornelius. This leads to an alliance with Pharos that becomes so much more. Once again, Ms. Abel does an excellent job drawing the reader into this dark world of magic, greed, alliances and Justice. As always, I love the drawings of the characters and creatures of the story. This book...

The Shadow Realms - what a scary place to be. Even so, romance can thrive. Kali and Pharos prove that, in this sometimes frightening story. The cast of characters is fascinating! I’m sure you will enjoy meeting each of them (well, with the exception of Cornelius who is Evil personified). I am astonished at the complex actions needed to free Pharos. Kali is an amazing woman! It took an incredible degree of courage to proceed while faced with such trials. If you like some chills with your thrills...

~~~ 💕Things I’m excited about💕 The story was fun! Felt very Buffy-Charmed-cozy monster of the millennia kinda plot line. I want a better look at the magic system and how that builds on the paranormal / supernatural elements in this universe. And the fact that there are literal demigods and gods, dukes of hell and archangels, just wandering around this world gives me SO many more questions. 😂 I also want to know more about the culture and society of their world. It felt like being teased with...
I adored this second book to the series. If you read the first, you probably also hate Cornelius somewhat but this definitely makes you hate him so much more. And his fate really fits his crimes. But I won't spoil it. It's truly Pharos and Kali who make it possible, and the romance of a kind necromancer and an angel of death is truly magical. There's a few minor grammar and spelling issues but honestly I've found some in any book I've read and the writing is so good I really didn't care that...
